Re: what to keep, filterbank vs nord g1?
I'm actually leaning on the nord. I don't know exactly why. Maybe for its versatility? The sherman is a great addition to any studio, I think. But if i want to destroy a sample, I still have a wmd geiger counter, distortion pedals and a boss vf-1. Plus, I could process it thru the nord. As for the c...

Re: what to keep, filterbank vs nord g1?
stag, stap, STAB!! lol I don't really use keys. I do sample a lot of my work and process it with the mpc and the kaosspad. My last show was only with the mpc, kaosspas and the soundcraft mixer. great result music wise, fast to setup, efficient and in a small footprint. -the filterbank is super agres...

what to keep, filterbank vs nord g1?
I got to shrink my studio. going from a house to an apartment in a near future. So I got this idea: I have to fit my stuff in a rubbermaid basket the big one. everything else got to go. so far, in there. mixer, mpc1000, kaoss pad mkiii, 1-2 mic, bla auteur, bla sparrow (ADC)... I could fit the filte...

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!
Hey Sherlocks, here's a mystery for y'all: So locally (Montreal), someone has been putting up for sale on both Craigslist and Kijiji, a scribbled-on manual for the Roland D-50, for 5 bucks... for many months!!! The person keeps renewing it every couple of days. It's so weird, I'm thinking that it's...

Re: Ditch the presonus interface or ??
That's what i am afraid of, and for the simple thing as the driver. How do you make a firewire driver works on a usb plug?
I do have an expension slut (oups, slot), it doesn't have the same form factor as the pcmcia, it got some kind of an angle to it.

Re: First time user: Akai S6000?
do you have the proper cable? it needs to be a "direct" connection cable, i think that's how they call it. regular screen cable don't work

Re: mic for gritty sound?
no problem code green, nowaday anything that is not made anymore or that is pre-90 is instantly declared vintage. it's harder and harder to find odd things for some flavour in art. our world is becoming so clean and sterile ( i can't even take the celular phone that are ment to go in the land field ...
