Ok that sounds like normal operation to me when there is insufficient or no battery for memory backup. You can do a master reset by: HOLD TRACK #1 AND PATTERN #1 POWER THE UNIT ON (This doesn't seem to work on O/S version 4 though) Sorry for taking so long to respond, but I wanted to give you a HUG...

So just switched on my TR909... its given me years of good service! However, when the unit is switched on now and I go to pattern play mode just like normal, I'm unable to select specific patterns.
