Re: Recieved broken synth in the mail, what to do???
My advice is hang in there. I ended up with a keyboard wrapped in one layer of cardboard with no padding, shipped from about 500 miles away in the same country. It was trashed, I photographed the damage. Ebay and paypal tell you to send it back after contacting the seller. So this is what happened: ...

Re: Roland D70 keybed
Im hoping that there is actually something out there to clean them, the red gloop sticks to everything - whilst failing to stick the metal to the key. It is said that it happens mostly in hot countries, but I live in the north of England, it's not very hot here, I hadn't used the JD for a year or tw...

Re: Roland D70 keybed
Hi, the D70, U20 and JD800 all share the same keys and the same problems. I've just replaced my JD800 keys with new ones from Roland. They cost £1.50 each which is pretty cheap when you look at what some people sell them for. My D70 'oozes' but the U20 is still hanging in there. The gloop gets insid...

There were some tips years ago in one of the keyboard mags about cleaning contacts and it said rub them with paper after cleaning...

JD800 key cleaning
My JD800 has developed several defunct keys after being left unplayed for a while. I've cleaned several keyboard contacts before but not my JD. Can anyone tell me if there any pitfalls to watch out for.Thanks.

I have System4 which I bought second hand on ebay but didn't come with a serial number - not specified in the description. So I bought Cubase SL 2 with a serial and dongle and guess what - it doesn't work with their System4, I get a similar message to the one above. Steinberg refused to help me when...
