ok, the thread is over 1 year old... just my opinion: i bought it as sample-player in addition to my S7xx-Samplers. The facts say ~5x voices of a S760, 4x RAM and all with FX, it saves on the the paper ~S760 Samplers But the Sound is not the same, a S7xx sounds like BUMMM , the XV only like bummm - ...

Ok, I've got a fully expanded s1100, two (yes, TWO different ZIP drives) one with a female DB-25 connector with a pic of an arrow (IIRC) and a port with a picture of a printer , the other has a male DB-25 port which has a pic of a ZIP above it and another port with a pic of a document or something ...

only to boot up the EII i use a disk - with Sounddesigner 4 EII on a vintage mac (10€) you have a faster way to load sounds into the sampler. It's like using a HD.
