http://vinyllife.com/mixes/SC%20prelude%20noise.mp3

any idea what this may be? this MP3 is a SC prelude with no notes being played. i think it's in the chorus circuit because when i move those faders the noise changes slightly. any info is greatly appreciated. thanks!

Re: Do i need a di box for pedals?

in order to have ideal operating levels, yes. but it works just fine without them in most cases. i say try it as is and if it sounds messed up, then invest in re-amping and DI units. otherwise, your $$$ is better spent on more pedals!

Re: Roland AC jack - 2 or 3 prong?

thanks for the info guys. although drilling is not impossible, it's a mess i'd rather avoid. i've got my hands full with replacing a voice chip and the power jack. i found a jack and 2 prong cable online for $18 with ship. this will also keep the synth "original". now, if anyone can steer me in the ...

Re: What was the ultimate drum machine of the '80's?

i agree. the 808 is king. used on so many records but it also SOUNDS THE BEST. if you've ever used the real thing and not a sample library, you'd agree that nothing cuts like that beast.

check this video too.

Roland AC jack - 2 or 3 prong?

i have a juno 106 here that is missing the standard roland 2 prong jack. the previous owner rigged a permanent power cord that is taped and sticks out of the hole. not pretty. i would like to replace it and i am wondering, do the more "modern" 3 prong jacks that are on every other piece of gear fit ...
