Re: Your latest musical purchase

I got a Arturia Microfreak, which is actually a nice little synth with a much bigger range than i'd thought.

Re: Roland 303 Can I change the preset patterns?

Neither of those can load samples. the MC-808 and mc-909 can, as well as the newer ones.

Re: Korg monologue + TR-8S

to sync them you use a midi cable. set one to external midi timing

no, the TR-8S' audio input isn't really meant to be used as a 'thru' with level controls.

Re: Best tool for podcast production

when i tried launching a workstation and graphics related youtube channel, i was using RX7. i tried the wavelab demo but i found that izotope was easier to produce better audio from with less fiddling. you can even load it into their interface and edit it there....

Re: Korg SQ-1 MIDI sync?

I own a iConnecrivity Mio2 and have ordered a USB b to USB Micro cable to attempt a midi din5 to midi USB conversion and will order an SQ-1 this week. Wish me luck. :D This might also work with the Keith McMillen blue box thingie. And someone else can check that. I have to do this.. I have a combo ...

Re: NS3 - did I buy the wrong thing??

Hi all, Ive had my NS3 for about a year now. I bought it for the piano samples as a friend recommended it. But........Ive just seen on youtube someone review the new Korg Nautilus. It seems amazing, has anyone seen it? The piano samples sound great and seem to be many more parameters that you can a...

Re: Best EMS VCS3 / Synthi software synth

I have XILS 3. The XILS stuff is written be a former arturia programmer who writes individual models for each synth he makes, it sounds very good.

Re: Which synth to choose?

I don't think you can get a quality synthesizer for $ 300. This is how much synthesizers cost for beginners who are just learning to play. I beg to differ, there are plenty of semi-but-not-truly-vintage (i.e. 90s) synths that are pretty high quality for under $300, as well as things like Behringer'...

Re: Sequential Bought by Focusrite

Our likely accurate prediction: After being his own boss for 50+ years, Dave will now have to answer to corporate higher-ups, will get fed up with that dynamic after the honeymoon has worn off, and will retire from Sequential within 2-4 years max. You know Dave worked for Yamaha and Korg for awhile...

Re: Help identifying difference is E-Mu Procussion models

knowing E-Mu, they were made from 1991 until 1993, because if they didn't have new hardware they just kept pushing out the same machines.

Re: Sequential Bought by Focusrite

Maybe Yamaha can buy Focusrite now. That would definitely Make Dave retire  A lot of the Slutspace chatter is how the P5/10 v4 is Dave's farewell gift. Remember how he always said he didn't want to revisit the past? That changes when you hit 65 and see a lot more past behind you than future ah...

There Dave goes again, selling his company....

I can see if he's retiring, maybe... but i'm still not sure about it.
