There is usually a 4-6 ms latency with usb midi devices. Might be more with class compliant drivers.Villi wrote:Sorry to bring this up again, but anyone know if there are latency issues with these cable midi interfaces?

Re: TG/SY77 High Contrast Blue Replacement LCD Module
I just installed a new screen for my TG77! It's quite lovely now. That blue light is really cool :) Here's a picture. tg77.png About the installation: Only problems i ran into were the connector wire and the sync crystal behind the screen that was getting in the way when attaching the screen to it's...

Re: Is it me or has the overuse of reverb hit new highs?
I typically use reverb on most stuff, and over the years I've adjusted my composing style to match long reverbs. When I do a mix, I usually go with a brave 3-second reverb (or more), typically somewhat bright. If I need less reverb on some element (bass, drums etc.) I just bring the sends down, but...

Re: Want to know more about the Ensoniq EPS 16+?
I'm a current user of an ASR-10 and i love it's effects! It's also been very reliable altho i'm not using it for sampling as much these days. Just as a masterkeyboard and an fx machine. A very cool toy

Re: software controller for hardware synths
there isn't really any format that a syx file contains, it's a binary dump of a device, the format is unique to the device there is no universal way to read/write it, unless you know exactly what's the structure of that dump. Yes ofcourse. And in that light it could mean every device would need to ...

Heh, the first post was quite interesting. Don't buy synths you haven't tested out first! :) Personally i love my NL1 Rack, or just Nord Rack like it says on the case. To me synthesis is about synthesis. No need for dozens of effects in a synth. I do have a Novation Nova, which is loaded with effec...

Re: software controller for hardware synths
Cool project. Could be very usefull for alot of people.. Especially if there's going to be alot of instrument definitions available. Most people won't bother building them up theirself. I'm currently doing an editor myself for my Waldorf MicroQ(so not at all a competitive app  ). Not because i...

Re: TG/SY77 High Contrast Blue Replacement LCD Module
Hello. I've also got a TG77 with a dead backlight. I'd be intrested in pointers for fixing it :) I've never actually seen a unit with a working backlight, as mine was broken when i bought it, about five years ago. It's a brilliant synth and i've used it on countless tracks. Getting it lit up would b...
