People are talking about how great these new soft synths are, they should be able to come up with at least one example, or their argument is based on NOTHING>

Re: Roland SH-32
Quite nice for the money,
beware of steppiness though..
I am normally the guy who doesn't know what people are complaining about with 'stepping' filters and the like - but even I noticed it on the SH-32.

Re: Are virtual analogs just soft synths with their own...
Perhaps you could just download some demos from the internet yourself and don't expect the others to do it for you? OK then, thats no problem.. But I need to know, what is the exact soft VA I should be checking out? And the hardware VA that I should be comparing it to? Since the claim I am investig...

Re: Are virtual analogs just soft synths with their own...
To the people saying hardware VAs sound the same as software VAs, which exact pieces of hardware and software are you comparing? where are the sound comparison demos? or how about even, an amazing demo of the best software VA, so I can compare it myself, to my own sounds which have always come from ...

Re: Are virtual analogs just soft synths with their own...
The 'programs' that run on them are the same really,
Having said that, there's still a difference in sound due to the A/Ds, types of DSP etc..
Neither better nor worse, just different systems.

Re: sampling microscopic sounds (ants, bugs) and long distance
There are so much people getting their samples from libraries, and taking sounds from other artists, I think this is not really necessary since we have so much different noises surrounding us, and should be really fun to collect them. I feel great atraction on a technological device that can captur...
