Thanks - that's one less thing to stay awake wondering about. You listen to something like what the B-52s did and then you listen to the Prince stuff and I wouldn't have guessed they were the same machine at all. Not that I don't like what the B's did - it suits the album very well.

This has been bugging me for a while. There is a drum machine used heavily in the "Whammy" album by the B-52s. I have searched and searched and can't find any information. All I can say is that it sounds delightfully cheesy - perhaps they recorded the drum machine playing out of a boom box or someth...
