Re: Yamaha MX61 vs. Roland JUNO-Gi 61
Live performance mostly studio applications when needed. Our music is a Modern Rock Funky Groove Soul sound with a generous amount of synth sprinkled in. I have an Ultra-Nova for heavy synth parts in my rig. Really just curious which one sounds the best.

Re: mopho x4 vs tetra
Thanks everyone I have read enough to not get a Tetra. What about the Moog rack mount? Additionally, can anyone recommend me a course in synth programing, or a series of You Tube videos? I want to learn more.

mopho x4 vs tetra
Want to get something analog yet poly soon looking at these products from DSI. I have never owned any of his products. What are the pros and cons? I currently use an ultranova for my leads, but just really want that deeper analog sound.

Re: Going Analog
I like both the Phatty and the MoPho. Between the 2, the MoPho is packed with features Moog doesn't have, like a sequencer, 4 LFO's, 3 EG's, and pretty extensive Mod matrix. For the price of a Little Phatty, you can find a DSI Mono Evolver kb that has even MORE, like 4 oscillators plus all the feat...

Re: ADVICE NEEDED PLEASE!
Well I play with two boards always one is a Korg M50 so one this is my second in the live rig. I am assuming I can preset the sounds I use in some logical fashion for live performance correct?

Re: ADVICE NEEDED PLEASE!
I would love to get both but I have to pick one or the other. These posts led me into a few other questions the first is this I know leads are typically mono. However, I do some that are poly should that effect which one I buy? Finally, I have never used a synth module before are these good to play ...

I am going to purchase a desktop synth module. What would you get? Dave Smith Instruments Tetra or the Waldorf Blofeld desktop module? I am in a rock band looking for fat leads plus other options with lush strings.
