Re: Advice on upgrading to a bigger multitracker
Thanks a lot meatballfulton! I also found this page which helped explain things a bit: http://music.tutsplus.com/articles/encyclopedia-of-home-recording-auxiliary-send--audio-13423 Also if anyone else has any experience with any of these units in terms of ease of use, sound quality, EQing and automa...

Re: Advice on upgrading to a bigger multitracker
It's a system using only Roland tape sync, DIN sync and CV/gate. A very primitive way of doing things, yes, but it's become second nature to me by now. And I don't want to mess around too much with MIDI to CV/gate conversions. Sorry if I come across as a bit of dummy but I truly am with this stuff. ...

Advice on upgrading to a bigger multitracker
I’ve been using the Korg D888 for a few years but am now finding it hard to manage the sort of music I am trying to make with only 8 tracks (even with the 64 virtual tracks). I have been considering upgrading to a 32 tracker and am specifically looking at either a Korg D3200, D32XD/D16XD or Tascam D...

Re: Whats your studio workhorse?
MC202 controls other synths via cv/gate
(MC202 synth is good for clear/crystaline sounds
(MS20 and model D is good for complex/textured sounds)
TR909 controlling s5000 via midi
(TR909 slaved to MC202 via DIN sync)

Yamaha D1500 vs Korg SDD1200 (digital delays)
Has anyone here had experience with either of these or can offer input on potential alternatives. I am looking at sharp sound quality and precision as opposed to the warped sound of analogue tape delays. The ability to produce flanging/phasing and chorus effects would be good. The Korg has dual dela...

ms20 vs minimoog model D
I can't see that this has been disccussed elsewhere which is a suprise as the ms20 review on this site describes it as a good minimoog D alternative. so anyway for those who have had experience with both, how accurate is this? I'm particularly interested in the power/loudness/velocity of each synth,...

question re cv/gate on voyager OS
I am considering getting a voyager OS and wanted to control it via cv/gate out from an mc202, does anyone know if some sort of voltage converter interface is required to go from roland to moog? I have to use an interface (ms-02) to control the korg ms20 and just wondered if the same is required for ...
