Re: New Schmidt Analog Synthesizer
Synthesizers have been frequently produced and marketed at this price point, often in low quantities. Studios, producers, record labels, and professional musicians have different budgeting considerations than hobbyists and synth enthusiasts. The inflation-adjusted price of the Yamaha CS-80 new was $...

Re: Sequencing external synths with an Analog 4
Figured the problem out. I had muted the CV channel in a manner that was not the normal front panel accessible mute that one accesses through the function key. All cleared up and that much further along in sorting out the "flow" of an Elektron machine.

Re: Monos
Unless there is something very strange about my Mono/Poly there is no onboard sequencer, just an arpeggiator. In conjunction with the multiple oscillators the arp can get fairly complex but not to the extent that I would call it a sequencer.
MS-20 ESP
Short version: I purchased an MS-20 on ebay, and, while testing everything out noticed that the ESP does not seem to be working. I've used a guitar, microphone, and sine wave from my computer as inputs and can't get a signal or get the clip LED to light. I've taken the input attenuation knob from on...

Re: limiter on a sherman FB?
I have a Jomox T-Resonator with a similar speaker-destruction capacity, and a DBX 166XL keeps it well in check.
