Re: New Synthpop Bands You Like

It is new, and synthy, and kinda poppy, in an 80's apocalypse sci-fi kinda way--- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3p-jy1egiKA This is the worst song I could have chosen, but i love the video (dig the sidechaining, btw, thanks, Tallow) I saw Tron i...

Re: microKORG vs. Akai MINIAK
I got my Miniak thru NovaMusik two months ago for 275. 250 is definitely a good deal for one of these(although maybe not for beginner's)

Re: Akai AX-60 vs. Juno 60
Hey everybody, Still looking for a 2nd synth, so I appreciate the renewed interest in this thread and also the insight users have provided as to the differences between the two. From what research i've done, it seems like if I could have gotten into analog synth just a couple years earlier, I wouldn...

Re: Cassette??
Thanks everyone, for your input.. vinyl_junkie, I think you just easily talked me into picking up a 4 track. I'm a big fan of ease of use. And speed. And that part about levels and red and all that good stuff. (I understand why tape would be the last thing anyone wants to have anything to do with, b...

That's not as technical as I expected, but as philosophical as I expected, so it's a good trade..

Re: Cassette??
How would I go about doing this? Just Plug the 4track into an interface into a program(Garageband) and download one track at a time? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I know humans have been searching for perfection for as long as they have known they are humans, but maybe at some point we were on...

Re: Most physically attractive synths
I love this topic, you guys are all freaks!
The CS-80 is amazing(and it weighs like a ton)(which makes it even cooler)
AS far as actual sexual attraction to a synthesizer, I say, the older the better.
It's hard to go wrong with wooden side panels.
