Re: Analog Copression for electronic music
No I do use a computer with cubase for arrangement. I'd be looking for a hardware compressor around 1200$, maybe a second hand one? Def want to avoid pulg ins as I spend a lot of time getting sounds from analog synth and use analog effects.....want to avoid digitally processing the audio as much as ...

Re: Analog Copression for electronic music
Ahh, apologies! Cheers for moving the thread. Are there any cheaper options. Couldn't afford £2,800 just yet lol!

Analog Copression for electronic music
I produce electronic music, mainly techno, and was wondering what is the best compression/compressor to use. I use only hardware, and love my stuff to sound raw/gritty.....cannot stand clean production. Basically after something that maintains the warmth from hardware, gives you decent "oomph" but d...

Analogue effects units
Ok so I'm noticing that when using effects plug ins on audio I've recorded from my hardware it is making a big difference in warmth to my tracks, therefore, I want to get some decent analogue effects units to prevent this from happening. I like the look of the Moogerfoogers but they're way above my ...

Re: Minimoog Voyager Performer Edition
Thanks for the reply. That's a shame! And if do happen to be unlucky, I'm screwed. I'm from Belfast, Northern Ireland and I'm unaware of any Moog tech's out here. I'd prob have to post it to mainland UK.

Minimoog Voyager Performer Edition
Looking at getting myself one of these in the near future, however, strangely I've been hearing a few reports about oscillators going after 2 years or so. Are these new Moogs not reliable? Or am I being daft?

Roland Jupiter 6 USA - UK adaptor
Have a Europa mod'd Jupiter 6 arriving tomorrow and I realise I'll need an adaptor to step down the Uk 240v to US 110v. But I'll also need one with the right Wattage. Anyone know what Watt the Jupiter 6 runs on?

Re: Time for a new analogue synth
Thanks for the replies! I'm going to get the MKS-80 with the controller or the Jupiter 6 for defs. I do like the idea of J6 being different. But is it actually weak? Or is this just peoples first hand experience with the presets? I'm one to spend time programming so don't mind hard work to get thick...

Re: Time for a new analogue synth
Thanks for your reply, I really want the Mono/Poly but I'm not sure its going to be ideal for detroit/chicago house and techno sounding pads/stabs/leads. Will get one in the near future for defs! Great synth. Also looking at the MKS 80 and its controller. Would that be "better" than the jup 6?

Re: Time for a new analogue synth
Could you suggest any other analogue synths for that sort of sound? Will the Jupiter 6 be decent for that sort of thing? Was also looking at the Oberheim Matrix 6, which is cheaper but again looks like one of those awkward synths with digital jog wheels for scrolling through parameters. Cheers,

Re: Time for a new analogue synth
Had an alpha Juno. But it was too fiddly. Got some nice sounds out of it but want a more hands on, stronger synth that can do the same and more. Is the Jupiter not capable of those sounds?

Re: Time for a new analogue synth
I'm looking for something to give me nice deep, detroit, chicago stabs/pads/leads. Jupiter more suited to this obviously since the MPoly isn't a great poly?
