Hi, did anyone get a copy of the file pointed by http://www.icmedeli.com/download/M2000SPEC.pdf ?
I might try to hack the MPX8 firmware a bit, but I have trouble finding any doc on that Medeli chip...

Re: All analog synths retro electronic tracks
Hehe, well I got the idea of Mono/Poly pre filter changes from your blog :) So, basically: - I changed all the 4558 opamps for TL082, because even if 4558 has a nice vintage sound, it's awfully slow and not dynamic. The VCOs summing amplifier (1/2 IC18 on KLM-354) would be the most important to chan...

Re: Give me some feedback!!!!
Hello, just listened to your spotlight tracks one more time, my first listen a few days ago was on crappy headphones at low volume, so it didn't really shine... I'm now listening on my monitors, and damn it's something else :) I really like the first 3 ones (Kalevala/Sentinel/Thin Air), imo they are...

Re: All analog synths retro electronic tracks
Hehe, I used many layers of the P600 sounds, plus analog chorus. One take of them did sound good, just not wide enough :) The bass is just one dry take of my Mono/Poly tho! When I compared my upgraded P600 to my Mono/Poly, I thought: either I sell it, or I try to make it better. So I chose to change...

Re: All analog synths retro electronic tracks
Hello, It's been a while since I posted a new track, here's one: https://soundcloud.com/gligli/it-was-the-future It's about a dystopian future as seen from the 80's, something like that... Synths: - Modified Korg Mono/Poly: Bass. - Yamaha RX5 using my rx5usb: Drums. - SCI Prophet 600 using my p600fw...

Re: Prophet 5 versus Prophet 600
The "Speed" pot. As soon as you activate the arp, it stops controlling glide, and starts controlling arp speed.
This will probably change soon tho, "Speed" will probably become something like the "Value" pot on a six-trak (to edit misc params).

Re: Prophet 5 versus Prophet 600
Besides parameters resolution and shitty envelopes, there's 2 main things that make a stock prophet 600 sound different than a prophet 5 I think: - You can't mix the 2 oscs at full volume, because of the single pot mixer. That means you can't really overdrive the filter like you can on a P5. - You c...

Re: Roland JX-8P multitrack demo
Wow, great spacesynth track, reminds me of Laserdance and such!
Also, the 8P sure shines in that style, with its clean and round sound.
It's not trying to sound like a moog or something, but it has a really pleasing sound to my ears nonetheless

Hey, I'm going to risk posting one of my tracks here, cause I'd really like to know what other analog synth lovers think about it ^^ http://soundcloud.com/gligli/trapped Here are the synths/machines I used to record it: - Sequential Circuits SixTrak + Ibanez UE-405 Multi-effect (Chords/Arpeggios, a ...

Re: Kiwi-3p - Experiences?
Yeah, many of the presets do sound quite different, but that's not what I meant, I think it has to do with the input level of the VCAs. With the Kiwi mod, there's adjustable velocity, and depending on it, the VCAs seem more or less overdriven, up to saturation with high resonance, and I can't find t...
