sorry maybe i wasn't so clear about it in the first post, i'm talking about the synth sounds. i'd just like to know how they got a microkorg to sound like that. my guess would clever use of fx and layers maybe?

salem - king night (sound/mixing)
this has really been on my mind for ages, but i still can't quite figure it out. does anyone here know the secret behind king kinght sounding the way it does? here's a few things i'm aware of already: yes it's mastered really loud lots of sidechaining pretty sure most of it was microkorg/ion sounds?...

Re: Synthesizers designed and manufactured in California?
when i was in the bay area two years ago i met a guy who was working for buchla, so unless anything has changed recently i'd say they're still made in CAZ wrote:Don Buchla is from CA (and maybe still lives there). Were/are his synth built there, too?

Re: Im heading to Germany, recommend some shops/venues plz
hey, i've been living in berlin for 6 and half years. the people above me have recommended some good stuff but i'll elaborate a bit: really the only two music stores to check out (as far as synth gear goes) is: schneiders buero: really nice people, have most of what's currently being made in the ana...

Re: tetra or possible alternatives?
thanks for the input everyone, i was at the music store the other day and i tried out the mopho and the prophet 08. i know that factory presets aren't really the best way to judge a synth but i really have to say the prophet sounded much nicer to me. now i'm really wondering if they (tetra, mopho an...

Re: tetra or possible alternatives?
thanks! at the moment i'm using: microkorg, miniak, various soft synths, monotribe and a really temperamental (and obscure) firstman fs4v. i guess the stuff i do is psychedelic, really into the berlin school stuff (klaus schulze and tangerine dream) looking for some lush pads and sequencing/arp soun...

tetra or possible alternatives?
hey everyone, i'm thinking about getting a tetra as i'm craving an analog poly synth... now i was wondering if there are other alternatives which are roughly in the same price range? also i would rather get something in production as don't want to be bothered with temperamental old circuits. any hel...
