Searching for belt for Roland D-20 disk drive

I am looking for a replacement belt for my Roland D-20.

Anyone know which one to order? Or where I can buy one?

I want the unit to be fully functional.

Thanks!

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth

I got my MiniBrute from Sweetwater. It took 5 weeks to come in, but Sweetwater was great. Um, this thing is absolutly incredible. It really gets you deep into crafting sounds and I have to say the quality of the build is 1st rate. Amazing sounds for $500. I posted a quick review on the Sweetwater we...

Re: Best way to clean outside of JP 8000?

I use 5 different products to clean keyboards with. These are used in order to see what I can get to come off safely. 1). Water and then mild soap and water for "dirt". Use with paper towel. wet towels/Q-tips not keyboard!!! 2). Isopropyl alcohol wet towels/Q-tips not keyboard!!! 3). Windex (ammonia...

Roland JP-8000 with firmware 1.02

Hi all,

I have a Roland JP-8000 with firmware 1.02.

Should I upgrade to 1.05? What does it "fix"?

And what is the best way to do this with Cubase and or midiOX?

Thanks!

If you are Looking for Alesis Micron parts

I had a hard time finding a few replacement knobs for my Alesis Micron. In particular the clear knob.

If you need some go to inMusic Brands Inc. they found them for me and they were $3 each, not the $18 each you see on ebay.

Re: Fun with my Roland D5

I disconnected the bender, fired it up and had the same problem. :-( .

I had seen on other posts that the D5, D10 and D20 all have the same engine and factory patches.

Re: Fun with my Roland D5

Long story longer. I now have a Roland D-20 as well (same synth engine, same patches, just has a disk drive, internal power and a sequencer, and it works great!). However, now I'm on a quest to fix that stupid D5. I have the D20 and the D5 hooked up midi in to out, and out to in (handshake) I go thr...

Re: Looking for a synth to buy

I am far from expert. But if I may suggest. Try buying something used (craigslist/Ebay) to "test" what you want to end up with. experiment 1st. IE. For $50 - $75 bucks you can pick up a used Yamaha KX25 midi controller. It has Steinberg Cubase recording software as well as Arturia Analog experiece w...

E gads! I think you may have just solved my D5 issues. I purposely DID not try hand shake mode. I will do so.

OK,

Thanks. I'll work with Midi-ox to see how I do.

And yup I did find a JP-8000 for a really good price. I was blown away by it compared to the other synths I have.

Fun with my Roland D5

OK, I realize that the D5 was a bit of a troubled child, but I want to get mine working again. The sounds are corrupted, (they play but are all warbled) and there is no factory reset. I changed the battery, downloaded the factory patches and am using an E-Mu midi2x2 connection to try and install the...

Re: Roland's greatest synth?

OK, I realize I am new to all of this but I have to say the JP-8000 is amazing.

Maybe not everything about the layout or all the small LCD, but the sounds created are wonderful.

Well now I've done it - I'm a synth collector - patch help?

Hello all at VSE. (This is the best synth site on earth by the way). It all started with me getting my Yamaha DX11 that I bought in 1989 out of the closet to see if it works. After I had a tech replace the battery it does. I forgot how fun it was. And now thanks to ebay and craigslist I now have 13 ...
