Vako Orchestron/Optigan/Talentmaker in the UK?
Hi all. I am looking to record some sound from an Orchestron/Optigan/Talentmaker if there is someone in the UK with one of these instruments, willing to let me play and record it? It's for a specific project and your time can be paid. I'm not into soft synths and don't get along with virtual program...

Re: the reality of using aged analog kit live - please be ho
They key tar straps were the first thing to come off the thing I assure you! My main attraction to it was the weight. I never thought I would be attracted to musical instruments because they were flimsy! Currently looking at JP8000's, MS2000's and Nord leads. I'll have a Modal 002 one day... Thanks ...

Re: the reality of using aged analog kit live - please be ho
Hi all, thanks for a great response in such a short time. I can't really describe why I love the Poly 800 so much, but then again I am a guitarist. AdamAnt316, I am also into Casio stuff. I had a CZ5000 but I couldn't carry it. I missed a HZ600 a couple of weeks ago which was gutting. I'm going to k...

the reality of using aged analog kit live - please be honest
Hi all. I'm pretty new round here. There is an increasing live demand for playing synth with bands. After much consideration, I finally landed myself a Korg Poly800ii as I wanted a genuine analog DCO synth that was light enough for me to carry with my bad back. I use it along side a Novation Bass St...

Re: Kory Poly 800ii intermittent power fault
SOLVED - The PCB was so badly corroded it would not hold power. I managed to get a genuine NOS replacement from Antech. I now have a c**p, aftermarket power supply that seems to be sending too much voltage to the synth causing it to drift up constantly. Oh the joys. The quest continues

Wanted: Korg Poly800ii PBC
So I bought a "reconditioned" Korg Poly 800ii that turns out is a complete basket case. I have had endless problems with it since I bought it. After sending it away for professional repair and mods I have been told that the PCB has excessive corrosion, what looks like a battery leak but no where nea...

Re: Kory Poly 800ii intermittent power fault
Thanks guys. I powered her up again this morning, LCD display lit, keys were sounding. I turned it off and back on and had the same problem. The volume was popping when switched on but no LCD display and no sound. So I opened it up to inspect the DC power terminal connection on the board as suggeste...

Re: Kory Poly 800ii intermittent power fault
Thank you! I will investigate it now. Is it the power terminal its self that is usually the problem or just the connection?

SOLVED: Kory Poly 800ii intermittent power fault
Hi guys and girls. I have recently picked up a poly 800II from the German eBay. Very pleased with the instrument, it's exactly what I was after but it has picked up a power fault. If you plug in some head phones and turn it on, you can hear a pop which suggests the volume pot is getting power, you c...

Re: Casio CZ5000 save/load RAM cartridge problems
Yes, I was advised to buy the RA-3. I am going to research the differences now. I changed the battery today but I will double check. All the contacts are straight but I will remove the cover and inspect the condition of the contacts and the ribbon cable. I think its due for a service anyway. Thanks ...

Re: Casiotone Love?
I have an MT45 (that I bought unused and boxed from a carbootsale for £4!) an MT68 (that I had given to me) and a CZ5000. I love them all. I will be using the CZ5000 as my main live synth soon, as long as I can get the RAM cartridge to work!

Casio CZ5000 save/load RAM cartridge problems
Greetings everyone. I'm new around here. My name is Gorey. Nice to meet you! I need help before I go insane! I have an awesome Casio CZ5000 that I absolutely love. As I am planning on using this synth live I forked out on an RA-3 RAM Cartridge. After 2 nights of trying to make it work and replacing ...
