Does anyone know of any songs from the 80's where they used string patches from a dx 7 mk1 or mk2?
I always recognize yamahas bells, basses, electric piano, xylophones etc... but its hard to know which synth the strings come from.

Cool thats good to know. Because i really love playing in split mode and the dx7 can always handle the bass fine. but sometimes the strings are quite tinny and thin. I really like the string sounds in Heart - "These dreams" and fleetwood mac "little lies" I want to try and recreate some of these bes...

I always use a keyboard amps with extra chorus and reverb too to add to it. I would really like to make some good string patches in split mode as I like to play bass with it at same time.

Ahhhhhh okay thanks for that much appreciated. Can i ask which floppies do i need to buy? Are they even available? Okay after hours of reasearching and youtube videos and reviews I went with the ENSONIQ TS12. 500 with shipping and perfect condition, and the floppy works.
