Re: Help me choose my synth rig!
How much should I pay for a used Nord Wave? Is 1300 euros too much?

Re: Help me choose my synth rig!
I've seen and heard demos of the Blofeld but I prefer the sound and editing simplicity of the Wave.Ashe37 wrote:A Blofeld Keyboard can pretty much do anything a nord wave can at less than half the price

Re: Help me choose my synth rig!
Can you save and add synths without selling the macbook? I won't sell my macbook, but I'd prefer not to use it in a live situation anymore because I can't control every possible technical problem (and that drives me mad). Maybe the perfect solution could be sampling softsynth strings emulators thro...

Re: Help me choose my synth rig!
Same here, hard to believe.
Anyway I've found out there's a guy selling a uglier rs 09 not far from my house...If there's something left after the synths I'll call him.

Re: Help me choose my synth rig!
Wow, I didn't even know about roland rs09! It looks very cool and similar to the sh09 (which is another favourite of mine).

Re: Help me choose my synth rig!
If I sell microkorg and ms20 controller my budget is around 1800 euros (2700 $), so I think I'll look into the used market. Wave + MS20 mini + cheap string machine is a very attractive solution. The Hammond SK series models Hammond tonewheel, Farfisa, Vox Continental, and Vox Jaguar organs. It also ...

Re: Help me choose my synth rig!
Yes, my preference goes to a string machine (or the Nord Wave). I was just comparing possibilities as my budget couldn't be enough for all these beauties.commodorejohn wrote: That's certainly an approach you could take, it just sounded more like you were interested in hardware synthesis.

Re: Help me choose my synth rig!
I'd be looking at the Nord Wave out of all the ones you mentioned, comes with some great Mellotron samples and you can load any samples you want into it/any of the Nord Stage ones IIRC. This was my first choice (and maybe still it is), but at some point I started to drift into analogue territory (p...

Re: Help me choose my synth rig!
Thanks for your suggestion! I'll add the mini version of the ms20 to the list. Do you know any nice Farfisa + Solina emulating string machines? My playing style and sound is (well...I hope so) a mix of these three worlds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y51iNsccx0Q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuTM...

Help me choose my synth rig!
Hi, I'd like to ask for your suggestion. I currently own a Microkorg and a Korg Ms20 controller for the softsynth legacy edition. I'm tired of recording and playing live with my macbook, so I decided to sell them and change my rig (also because I'm not completely satisfied with those 2 pieces). Whic...
