Re: buying my first set of monitors
I bought a set of Mackie MR6 powered monitors and a matching ten inch powered sub for $1000 new (In Australia, so we get reamed price-wise over here) and I love them. Sure, not the best, but they do the job for me well enough

Re: Cleaning sticker residue off synths
Tried the Eucaliptus oil, and it sort of worked..... The gunk over the Korg lettering on the back of the synth came off easily. The c**p on the face where the buttons are eventually came off, but it took ages, a lot of rubbing, and it seems to have slightly discoloured the surface. Anyway, it's heap...

Thats what my wife said!!Hybrid88 wrote:Have you tried eucalyptus oil? Supposedly is good for that.
I didn't believe her.....now I'm going to try it.
I was thinking about using some Prepsol, but wasn't sure about the effect it would have on the lettering.

Cleaning sticker residue off synths
As per the title. I took delivery of a Korg M1 that was covered with stickers. I managed to get all of them off, but there is yucky sticky sticker residue left behind, and some of it is on the lettering. Is there an easy way of getting this stuff off, hopefully without damaging the Korg lettering? A...

Re: Opinions on the Roland W30?
Well, I paid $250 AUD for it, with all the discs plus spare blank ones, SCSI Zip drive (apparently need different system disc version for it) spare zip discs, etc. Thanks for the tip about the sound processing of it, I might play with it a bit when I have the time.....but I really do hate the fact t...

Opinions on the Roland W30?
I just bought one.
So far, not that impressed! It's mono!
Takes ages to load the demo discs. Sound quality not that special, either.
Will I learn to love it?
Interested to hear opinions on this unit before I invest time into learning how to use it.
