Re: Roland D-50 noise issue with PCM sounds, SYNTHE sounds fine
Hi Frisco, I don't know if this is of any help with the D50 but I own a D110 and I had crackling probs too. Especially with the reverb but also after the release. I opened up the d110 and with the power on all of a sudden I felt that one of the IC's (have to open up again to see which) was real hot ...

Re: Iomega SCSI ZIP 100 with a CASIO FZ-20M
Has anyone used a ZIP drive with a FZ sampler? I have one spare drive and was thinking to use it with my FZ but I haven't used the SCSI before so I wonder if there's anything (like scsi termination) that I need to consider. Thanks. You know, I asked the same question some 25 years ago. The FZ-1 and...

Re: Casio FZ1
The display is dim but fine to read with a light hanging overhead. I can load sounds from disks but literally no signal going in when sending either a signal or from a mic. But confused... Not sure if you can burn out that chip or something??? All sorts of problems occur when the EL backlight foil ...
Re: Casio FZ1
I've just bought a nice FZ1 and it sampled once and then stopped sampling. Anyone every had this happen to them? I've done the obvious and have followed the manual and another book I have but no joy. Any ideas? Hm, what's the state of the display? If it is dim, hardly visible disconnect the backlig...
Re: Casio FZ1
The reason I'm posting. How do I convert an fzv or wav file to an hfe file and plop it on the sd card? I have an HxC sd rev f floppy emulator for my Casio FZ1 installed. Help! You can only use FZF (full dump) files with the HxC floppy emulator. Wav (or any other sample formats) should be converted ...

Re: Casio FZ-1 Crackly Sound
On another note, with some help from gmeredith I just cannibalized an iphone 4 to replace my LCD backlight with. Went pretty well. Big thanks to the Tasmanian. No trouble getting the old EL panel out and replace it with the IPhone 4 backlight? Changing a FZ-10m EL panel for a IPhone backlight is qu...

Re: Roland D-110 dim backlight
Is that a piece of metal on the right hand side of the display which is mounted by screws to the back of the two small screws (originally used to mount the original display)? Yes, it's clamped to it. If I want to move the panel a bit further to the left and use that tiny space between the panel and...

Re: Roland D-110 dim backlight
As you can see in one of my pictures I used a 'L' shaped aluminium profile 2 x 3 cm. On the left I have to drill the holes a bit further to the left or I'have to file a gap that holds top left of the panel not to deep and on the right I have to do the same with the cut out of the L-profile with te 2...
