Hello guys, Here's a selection of 5 MS-20 mini sounds with the analog delay Deluxe Memory Boy by Electro-Harmonix. I focused on having melodic "sequences" played by hand in sync with the delay: [bbvideo]https://www.youtube.com/edit?video_id=DyBjBR5HmNI[/bbvideo] It was recorded directly with the Zoo...

I really like the vibe of this, it reminds of the ambient Minecraft evening songs, perhaps combined with a touch of Aphex Twin. Nice contrast between the mellow, slow synth lines and the more frantic drum part on the EMX. Also, congrats for the Yamaha purchase, I think they did a great job back then...

The Soundcloud links seem to be broken! Interesting post though, I might have something to add soon

Hey, that was unexpected! Lol, I would never think of doing a synth cover of Metallica Nice choice and playing, too bad that there are no drums there, though. Anyways, thank you for the share!

Thanks for the effort, Raycast!

Cool, I enjoyed it. Ms20 patch was really great too.

Thank you! Whatever I do, I always seem to type cast the MS-20 in this kind of sound category, it's such a beefy bass synth!

Thank you for listening Calgonstudio, and I'm glad that you enjoyed it!

Hi Ned, Thank you for your thoughtful suggestions! Now that you mention it, I notice it too. Alternatively, maybe I should have cut some bass frequencies from the pad, and perhaps cut some high frequencies from the MS-20. In such cases (all hardware, one take => tape), the mix is naturally done on t...

Hi guys,

Here is one more "dance" synth jam recorded directly to tape.

Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Cheers,

Alex

Great atmosphere, you nailed it. Very...Moroderesque

Hello fellow synth heads, This is a composition for Jean Michel Jarre's Zoolook Revisited contest: soundcloud.com/unitedsimeskyinstitutes/arpanet-logical-map It uses heavily processed samples from the Soundhunters library (contest requirement) as well as the following instruments :Korg MS-20 Mini, V...

Very nice ditty there.

Thanks for noticing ! It wasn't easy to get the whole thing straight with the microscopic Microkorg keys. The MS-20 Mini has its challenges too, as its keys are very sensible

Not my style of music, but wonderful stuff nonetheless. Nice to see the M.K holding its own with the MS20. Although, as great as the M.K is at bass, it craps outs a bit in the higher frequencies. Filter on the Mini is beaut. Nice one. Thanks ! When you use the Microkorg and MS-20 at the same time, ...

Superb electro vibes here, the music oozes with silky beats ! So nice to discover him...Thanks !

Enjoy and let me know what you think

Man, talking about some glitchy deliciousness! Very intricate, rhythms that speak in an alien dialect, with a haunting and creepy nursery melody on top Awesome !
