Re: Original MS20 - Worth It?
I absolutely do not want mini keys, that's one thing I know! For me personally I like having the real deal, I'm very aware that the reissue can sound just as good but as I said I get an enjoyment from owning a vintage synth. As someone who composes for a living I think it's important to have the ple...

Original MS20 - Worth It?
I have a chance to buy an original MS20 (not the reissue), I realise they have lost value since the recent versions came out however I am more interested in the sound than buying something as an investment. I make music across a lot of genres and have enjoyed previous experiences with the MS20, howe...

CS15 Hard Case
Not quite sure where to post this, but I've been offered an original CS15 hard case however I've been told to make an offer...to be completely honest I've no idea what I should value it at? Personally I'd like to buy the case since my CS15 doesn't have one, but obviously this is just to have the com...

Re: Yamaha CS60
I hadn't actually...though that is interesting! I was watching one on eBay that would have needed some TLC, there was a video but no other information about any potential faults so it would have been a bit of a gamble. On the other hand I would have loved to have restored it to full use, sadly I sus...

Yamaha CS60
Hi,
I'm looking to see if anyone has advice on a good price for the Yamaha CS60? So looking at potential eBay prices as well as what you might expect to pay through other less 'inflated' avenues. Oh, I'm UK based!
Cheers,
Gavin.

Re: Synth for 8/16 bit sounds.
As someone who has to write a lot of this style of music for a living, I'd recommend either a SidStation or a Atmegatron (http://soulsbysynths.com/). That being said, you can get some pretty good 8 bit style sounds from most older analogue synths, I find the Polysix excellent, as is the Juno 106. Wh...

Re: Korg Polysix MIDI Options
I was looking at this, which I realise doesn't have a MIDI out but otherwise does cover what I think I need…anyone have experience of these kits?

Korg Polysix MIDI Options
Hi All, I've finally got my hands on a Polysix after a while of looking. Fortunately the battery mod was done many years back so amazingly the main board is corrosion free...generally after a service everything should be good to go! So, whilst in for a service I'm going to get MIDI fitted, it's some...

Re: Yamaha CS5 Serial Number
Ahhh ok, I only recently purchased it and will be getting it serviced by Synth Prof so will leave the opening up for now…I have a small fear I'll open it to see wires on their last legs, hehe!
My serial number is 6637, I'd just love to know if the synth is actually older than me!

Yamaha CS5 Serial Number
Hey All,
Completely curious, but is there a way to know what year a CS5 was made from its serial number?
Cheers,
Gavin.
