Re: MFB Nanozwerg, Urzwerg, Microzwerg & Megazwerg
They even made it yellow, just to make sure everyone is clear that they are saying "Take THAT Mopho!" Except the MoPho will be in stores and reviewed by all the usual hounds and the MFB products will only be referenced, here, Matrixsynth and AnalogueHaven. And any Google search will feature complai...

Re: Where is the Obligatory New DSI product leak?????
http://www.davesmithinstruments.com/images/fake_mopho_key_sm.jpg Yes, this is the best version yet. Didn't mind the gray, but this is one sexy piece. Anything along these lines will work. "The eagle-eyed among you may find it odd that a monophonic synth has a unison on/off parameter. When paired wi...

Re: Korg M3: most beautiful synth in the world?
The M3 isn't in front of me and I've only had it for a day so this is all from memory. 1) Hit SEQ 2) Page Select button. 3) choose P6 which is...Event Edit 4) Select Piano Roll 4) Change grid resolution to 16ths which I believe was shown as a Quater note icon with a 3 next to it. When you return to ...

Re: Korg M3: most beautiful synth in the world?
There are people that say Korg produces things that sound and looks like toys... Their top tier products are world class and usually trump the competition as far as innovative ideas are concerned. Karma TouchScreens Joysticks Backlit buttons - built like tanks etc... For the mid range and bottom- I ...

Re: Real analog or VA?
You're a Mod. Close the thread. Maybe there should be an area for "Classic Threads" and ones like this can be archived and some of the traffic can be directed there. I mean, Synth Shootouts started from the anti- This-synth-verse-this-synth stance. And what do you know, enough people kept at it and ...

Re: Korg M3: most beautiful synth in the world?
It's weird. I sold off 34% of my home studio this weekend. I was collecting/hoarding a ton of gear that I was never using and probably never going to use again. It felt cool to have it, but wasn't really serving me any purpose. I had sworn off ROMplers from the Set-In-Stone-Number-Of-Sounds thing. I...

You can read the PE take on it and extrapolate from there....
I have fantasies of using the MoPhoK to control a TETRA.
Oh boy....

Re: Korg M3: most beautiful synth in the world?
I find this quite strange that this thread is here. I just picked up an M3 Xpanded today. I never knew the joystick was back-lit. Cute touch. This thing is meant for playing. I NEVER get into demos, but I found myself playing along with the Karma engine. Does that mean I'm getting old? I always thou...

MIDI Quest/Sound Quest has been fine for me (PC running XP). Used with 5 different Roland synths (JV,JP, Juno and D-550 etc) Yamahas.....77..AN200...Korg Electribes (EA-series). MicroKorg to load all the MS2000 banks...Alesis DM5. Lexicon LPX-15. In many cases, the setting up has been a little confu...

Re: name that drum machine...
I like the process of elimination. A lot of my guess work was based on hearing samples of all the vintage drum machines over the years. Besides some day I'll get one of these right and have tremendous e-points!

Re: name that drum machine...
True enough. Red Herring maybe...
"...first reaction's that the snare sucks, but the rest is awesome... kick is so capable of 808 emulation, or massive jomox booms..."
I don't mean to insult your taste or use of this fine machine, but look at the majority of our guesses.
It aint just me.

Re: Drum Synth Debate
BFD 2 has a ton of editing depth and for hardware those new Roland ARX cards are very deep.
