Re: New Elektron Machine
It does not matter how much particularly. People who love elektron stuff will find the money and get it. That's about the smallest market I can ever imagine pitching to. So I have already cashed out and I'm going to go in heavy for a SIMILAR product with THE SAME ENGINE and SOUND but a different co...

Re: New Elektron Machine
I wouldn't feel bad...it's not like if they dropped at the same time... and no one was holding out , waiting for this to drop before they made a choice... Tempest had plenty of time to do what it would do . DSI could still drop a smaller desktop version and do well. Something analog for a grand woul...

Re: New Elektron Machine
I might have to say goodbye to my Tempest...
Bonkers! What a deep statement!!!
I thought the Tempest was waiting on an update to take samples......
That was...like...a....year ago......

Re: New Elektron Machine
You are probably right and the more I look at it, I'm not a fan of the mpc pads. So....you want to enter hits with round, hard pills? Drum pads is a step up. Still, two things to be seen.... a) How does it sound, besides doing thin, light, electronic, blippy drum sounds? b) How easy/difficult will ...

Re: Moog Sub 37, finaly a new poliphonic Moog?
you can't forgive and well, never forget for the greater good of the brand and legacy?
Plus, I'd like to do Q&A about it when it drops....

Re: New Elektron Machine
To each his own, I guess. Me, I want my songs to have that '80s, robotic, you-know-damn-well-this-is-a-drum-machine vibe. That's what I love about electronic music: the ruthless perfection that only machines can pull off. The thing is though, for that, you have many options...software and hardware....

Re: New Elektron Machine
I said this is another thread: Honestly, I want the sixteen steps, but only for my initial hat pattern. I DO NOT want to enter kicks and snares using 16 choices, really only two. I want real time.... Notes entered on some really nice drum pads..... No pills, tablets, switches or toggles. I'd like cl...

Re: New stuff from Roland!
You are such a stab frenzy. I could just pinch you. Personally, I think if you're dead keen on the 808/909 soundset, you can go two ways: samples or synthesis I think everyone wants Something to want . Honestly, I want the sixteen steps, but only for my initial hat pattern. I DO NOT want to enter ki...

Re: New stuff from Roland!
All I can think of is a hypothetical that make me nervous. Suppose ROLAND made the Acidlab Miami or Jomox Xbase. I mean, take those EXACT products and slap a ROLAND logo on it and put 'em in Sam Ash and Guitar Center. Would that be good enough? And if those two boxes arent good enough, I don't know ...

Re: New stuff from Roland!
I might consider saving for one. Hopefully, there's not too much of that needed. The Sp-555 has been going UP in price. "Live performance" can be a blessing and a curse. Nice if it simplifies the interface and brings the pattern juggling up front....bad if it's stripped down in functionality and be...

Re: New stuff from Roland!
That Swedish translated page is awesome. BUT, it has two questions.... Says NO USB. Can that be an accurate point? Maybe it has no MIDI thorugh USB or something...I can't imagine this having...no way to connect to a computer...or have any transfer/storage through USB. And second it has multiple outs...

Not sure what the deal is with this article http://www.brokenbeat.ca/roland-introdu ... 08-sounds/ I do. You wrote it to bring traffic to your fugazi blogsite. Not in the least bit funny or necessary, with your one post count. Welcome to the forum and... http://www.whatmmorpg.com/articles/dont-be-a...

Re: New stuff from Roland!
I *really* can't see it being a controller at this point...they can't be that daft, right? Why that? Arturia's drum machine is a controller...probably sold well. NI Maschine is an 'mpc' controller.....has sold a ton. [I have bought 2 so far...] Why wouldn't Roland think ....our best-est drum machin...

Re: New stuff from Roland!
Is there SERIOUSLY that big of a market left for workstations ? I thought most of that demographic has been switching to a computer with a good MIDI keyboard... I think it's a circular argument. Make a box with tons of sounds for "gigging" and everyone says: "WHAT, NO SEQUENCER FOR MY BACKING TRACK...
