Re: Free gritty analog monosynth VST
@Jabberwalky Say Hi to Shawn Rudiman from me.... ;-) cheers, Arne Ok I will! haha Glad you like it guys. It's hard to believe I made this a year ago now. I do need to make a new one. I would still like to continue with the old analog theme, but I was thinking of giving it an interesting emphasis on...

Re: Yamaha An1x buttons bad
Thanks a bunch Yekuku. That's great news. The an1x and cs1x definitely look the same, so I'd imagine they used the same parts. I'll open it up and check the heights of the tacts. I'll have a look at the battery as well. I appreciate your help!

Re: ever use only one synth for a full song? (Solvent)
It's pretty amazing that he did an entire album with a Yamaha Cs5. I've done a few tracks like this. I had the most fun doing a track entirely with the Minikorg 700s. Yeah, it kinda sounded like The Normal though :). Kinda sad to see the guy has never really made it, but I suppose it's due to lack o...

Yamaha An1x buttons bad
I have an An1x with a few buttons that barely work. They can be used, but only when pressed extremely hard, and I'm sure too much of that would really just damage them more. Has anyone run into some bad buttons on their An1x? Did you find a remedy?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth
I used the 15% off coupon when I ordered less than 10 days ago. They seem to keep rehashing the same discounts. I fell for their sale, thinking it was a one time thing. Either way, they took my money and within 4 days it was returned to my account. Called to clarify that they won't be charging my ca...

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth
I think it has much more in common with the Yamaha CS10 than anything else that's been suggested. I use a Cs15 regularly and it sounds similar, presumably because of the filter.

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth
It sounds really squelchy, stabby, and straight gristle. Really excited to get it. Looks like it's been backordered on MF and the release date has been pushed back even further. Hoping I placed the order in time for the first run.

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth
If this becomes microkorg v2. Well, we all know what that did to vintage synth prices....

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth
But nothing that I have heard so far on the Arturia site really stands out. It's not that the MiniBrute sounds bad. It just doesn't sound particularly analog/warm/fat/deep to me - the MiniBrute sounds more like a Virus (which isn't a bad thing). The Steiner Parker filter isn't a Moog filter, it isn...

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth
Via Matrixsynth And some comments via Yves Yusson the man himself: "Thanks guys ! It's been a real pleasure designing this little beast. I hope it will meet its public." "The enveloppes are analog (Yusynth ADSR based with some improvements) the LFO was analog in the first version but because it was ...
