Re: Midi Loop Recorder

I was looking into these for a while, and don't know why there isn't one. I looked into building one, but ultimately went with an audio looper with midi sync.

Re: Korg Minilogue Polyphonic Analog Synth

Thanks for the thorough review Rokk. Can't say I've been very interested anyway, but perhaps if I was just starting out I'd be all over it.

Re: korg poly-61 not responding to pushbuttons

Mine does the reset occasionally, which I need to fix at some point. I'm almost certain there's a corroded power connector going to the cpu board. Jiggling that wire makes it reset. Could be something similar.

Re: Synths on New Order's Techinque

The bass on Bizarre Love Triangle sounds like a modified E.Bass patch from a Dx7.

Re: Rig advice?

I'm actually doing something similar, and use the An1x as my main board. I don't have as many acoustic instruments though. Here's a pic of what I'm using (the looper is a Ditto x4). It's great for pads, basses, other things. It's not the best for sequences or arps, mainly because they don't listen t...

Re: Sub37 V Little Phatty - basic sound?

I don't know about the Phatty's, but the Sub37 is not the most "vintage" sounding analog I've had. If you compare it to old Arp stuff, or an Octave Kitten, there is a big gap in overall tone. If you compare it to things like Roland SH, Yamaha CS, or Korg Mono/Poly, it's right up there with them. The...

It can. Perhaps you need the new firmware.

Getting a sequencer with the depth you want, with a synth built in....good luck.

Re: Trying to find the best sequencer

I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for, but the Sub37 sequencer (which might be the same as the Mother32, not sure) is really damn good. 64 steps Duo track (2 pitches) Mod track Velocity AT Ratchets Ties Rests Sequencer as mod source Pretty much everything I've ever needed. With the Sub37 edit...

Dig it! The vocals seemed a bit robotic to me though. Perhaps too Top20 for me. The instrumentation is excellent though! Nice work man.

Re: Korg Volca FM

I just bought a PreenFm2! Haha, this is still cool, but I'd almost consider it a mono FM synth. I wonder if Korg is working with Yamaha again? (They worked together on the Korg Ds8, and 707)

ACT - Laughter Tears and Rage, the whole album.

Pretty much all D50 presets. Thomas Leer must have just bought one.

I wonder if the smartmedia card is corrupt or something. Or this happened at some point "Remember to NEVER turn off the machine while the WRITE button is flashing during the upgrade"

Re: Throubleshooting Ensoniq's poly pressure keyboard

The calibrate issue may be something with the ribbon between the two boards. I haven't experienced that issue myself, but have read it various places.
