I've been wanting something that can emulate my Moog Source for the times when I need to get all Rick Wakeman and play two synth lines at once. I've used a Micron for that before (not too shabby) but now use the laptop with MiniMoogV. My laptop really can't handle the Arturia stuff for more than mon...

I'm going to say this outloud. Real quiet-like so I don't upset the natives.

Devices like the Plugiator will be the future of soft-synthesis/virtual analog technology.

I would certainly prefer to have a Minimax but...for several hundred less I could have all the Creamware synths in one editable box. I'm very tempted.

A good place to find synth music from the past that has flown under the radar is http://synopsiselektronica.blogspot.com where I've been hipped to some really cool obscure artists like Automat, Reichmann, Conrad Schnitzler, and various Tangerine Dream-oriented side projects. Kudos for Harmonia, Clus...

I didn't see it was under $400. Where did you find that price? I'm very interested in one.

The Alesis Ineko has a decimator too.. Yup it do, and it also has a ton of other effects like ring mod, freq mod, filters, delays, reverbs, distortions, chorus, phase, flanging, and some other strangeness. The Ineko doesn't really make for a good Bitrman replacement, as part of what makes the Bitrm...

There could be good business in one of our Japanese VSE members exporting these things, and maybe translating the instructions (hint, hint).

I watched those demo videos yesterday and I can't say that I was really impressed with the Pro-One run into the ensemble effect. But I am beyond knocked out at the demo of the RS-505 itself. What an utterly beautiful sound! I can get close to the stringer vibe with the Alpha Juno on chorus II, re-ch...

megawatt is beyond awesome. Sold me a beater Casio-101 for way cheap that is still quite functional. Super-fast shipping. I've been wanting one of these for many years now. Thanks for giving me such a fantastic deal!

I was 7 in 1982 when my brother figured out how to "borrow" cable TV from the neighbors. I watched MTV non-stop and became fascinated with the synthesizer. Gary Numan and Kraftwerk in particular. But I was into metal (thanks to the same brother) and hip-hop. In high school I got turned onto fusion a...

Return To Forever reunion tour

I just learned earlier this week that the classic Corea DiMeola Clarke White lineup of Return To Forever are reuniting for a summer tour, with the first show in Austin next Thursday. They will only play songs from Hymn of the Seventh Galaxy through Romantic Warrior . While reading The Austin Chronic...

A Crumar CPB-1 bass pedal synthesizer for $40.
An ARP Quartet for $50 w/volume pedal & hard case
A Novation Bass Station Keyboard for $50.

All bought "non-working." But they were really non-working so I didn't get lucky.
