Why not tell us what you are doing.TrondC wrote:I can't seem to be able to move the samples from my laptop onto the smartmedia card, anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Most importantly, format the card with the Korg and not the PC.

Didn't poly-aftertouch find its way into any of the Yamaha Motif workstations or S-series synths? Nope, the Motif synth engine does not respond to poly AT and the keyboard doesn't transmit it. But the sequencer portion can send and receive it  That does make sense...if you use a Motif with ou...

Yeah, I was over at SP Forums, Roland Clan and Future Producers too. I did have trouble understanding some of the posts :? as the level of technical understanding there was amazingly low. There was one guy there who sounded like he knew a lot about the 606, I may follow up offline with him. The peop...

Re: Midi Program changes
Like if I have program 1 set and keyboard one and two, and I need to change to program 56 on kybd 1 and program 12 on kybd 2. What device would I use to do that? The way us old farts did it back in the day was line up the patches so they were in the same location ! All the patches for song #1 in lo...

Q on Roland SP-606
Any users out there? Have read a number of reviews that claim the unit chokes up when trying to BPM synch more than 2 samples. Also that the timestretching sounds terrible. True or false? My #1 deal-killer requirement is the ability to stream long samples (many minutes...backing tracks) from the CF ...

Re: What Kind Of Modular Am I Looking For?
Unless you really need the complete flexibility of a modular, you will do better with an evolver. I agree. Since sequencing seems to be an important feature for you, you really can't lose...$500 for a desktop Evolver is cheaper than any analog sequencer module and comes with a monosynth attached! S...

I don't think you can combine single patch dumps as they will just overwrite each other as they are received. You need to manually change the patch location before receiving each dump. Now you could do do this with a sequencer . Send a prog change, then the sys-ex, then a prog change, then the sys-e...

Re: Asus Eee as a midi sequencer?
Just about anything...if you only use the MIDI sequencing almost any DAW will work. It's the audio processing that stresses the memory and CPU.prinsen wrote:any of you happen to know of any midi sequencer software that would be able to run on such a low-spec'ed system (900mhZ CPU/512mb RAM)?
