FMJ has the most eerie haunting soundtrack I've ever heard. I often wondered how those mad chaotic sounds were made.

My GAS has spread everywhere. I've wanted both analog and digital synths. I bought them. The only result is that I have 6 synths stacked in a closet because I can't fit them into my setup w/o buying several triple racks. And I rotate them now and then when I get bad concience. GAS is bad. It makes y...

Ah okay :) I've been watching lots of Hard Gay clips on youtube (a crazy japanese guy on a TV show helping people advertise their businesses by..being hard gay. Rubbing up to people on the streets in ridiculous PVC outfits etc) Very funny concept. So I immediately thought in that direction. Like thi...

Oh, but for me, that's the entire point with a live DVD. Fans singing along as much as possible. If not, I'd just listen to a CD. I LOVE live albums and DVDs, and want as much audience participation as possible. When I hear the audience outsinging the vocalist on a chorus or verse, a rush of emotion...

The thing is, a "small modular system" like you describe will cost the same or more as most new polysynths. My Analogue Systems modular is not far from what you describe, and it cost the same as my Andromeda new. With sequencer, add another $1500. I don't have a sequencer. Mine has 2VCO, 2EGs, 2 fil...

I can see why Geddy wants that. They've used samples of all their old synth sounds in a Roland XV-5080 on the last tours. It's not as fun playing with a ROMpler as it is to sit down and reprogram the old sounds I guess. Artists are embracing this little synth alot. I saw a live recording of The Klax...

This andromeda preset is called "Patch This!"
A kick to the modulars, because the sound is more or less all the modules on the synth connected together in various ways, totally unpredictable modulation going on

I don't think it is ridiculous at all. The Pro-12 is a dead-on Prophet 5 VA emulation, I haven't heard anything (not software vsti's either) that sounds as good as the Creamware boxes (except for the real thing). The P5 is a classic synth for a reason, has very easy to understand controls, and no su...

I like the D-50 keyboard alot. It's is very soft and "spongy", very like the Juno keyboards. Great for playing organ as you can drag your finger up and down without ruining your fingers. They do have a problem with aftertouch going bad though, mine needs an elephant's touch to get a MIDI value of 12...
