I have processed electric guitar through my V-synth (keyboard, not XT) and it did a fine job of it. I kind of wished there were more amp models, but I ended up using lots of other weird stuff instead. I also put my little Phatty through it, especially the dual pitch-shift function. Add in some rever...

There was also this weird thing:
Breakaway Vocalizer 1000
I've never seen or heard one, but it seems like it would be fun to play with. It's got legit synth hardware inside.

And frankly, I've used both the minimoog V and Minimonsta, Did you read my post, Mitch? using a softsynth isn't the same as using a real one. If you think it is you are just plain wrong. How do the knobs feel on your softsynths? Do you move your mouse the distance you do when you move your hand bet...

I would like to invite people to experiment with Minimoogs AND physical modulars before they assert anything, too. I guarantee that it is different to use and program them than it may seem from looking at them or reading about them. There. If you don't want to listen to me anymore, listen to AG. He...

It's not your replies that bog things down. It's Super Mediator. OK then: So no Huppo - you just can't figure out that Mitch was merely comparing other more complex forms of synthesis (FM and modular) to one often cited the as simplest (subtractive) and was simply using an example of the Mode...

Jesus Huppo, what crawled up your a*s? If you can't figure it out by now there's not much point in explaining it again but I will, anyway. Mitch has never owned or played a Model D or a Modular synth, but he's here to take sides in a debate involving them because he "loves FM synths" so that...

I have a FIZMO! It's for sale, though I don't really want to sell it. Yes, I know that doesn't make any sense. I had one before, sold it and wanted one again about 2 weeks later, so I bought this one. I should be smart enough to figure out that's just going to happen again, but apparently not. They ...

Re: Cleaning out my VST closet
I enjoy softsynths and have issues with downloading zillions of freebies just out of curiosity. After a while they bog down your DAW software if it has to plod through verifying each of them when you start it up. Ugh. One of my favorite paid for softsynths is ImpOSCar. It sounds fantastic and makes ...

I like to think I'm at a happy medium when I find a good balance between features and ease of use. Then again I love FM synths, so I guess that does kinda put me in the "modular" camp in this debate, as they aren't exactly as simple to program as a model D. So, you found your Model D to be simple t...

Hello Huppo, Well, just received an update from the company Infinite Response. Apparently, their VAX77 keyboard is reviewed in the November issue of Keyboard Magazine in the new gear section. The are shooting for a Spring '08 release. This is very exciting news in my humble opinion. Yes, more contr...

As far as the V-synth goes, I am comfortable slicing samples and getting them in Stylus RMX and tweaking from there... and I'm imagining the V-synth works along the same lines. The VA stuff on board would be used for sample-fodder, not primetime sounds. The V-synth is anything but an ordinary sampl...

Zamise.. I may be wrong in what I think you're asking, but maybe this will help, too. You are saying you have assembled a bunch of individual tracks together to create one 45 minute single track but for the sake of putting on a cd you want the tracks to end up as separate so the track number changes...
