Re: MicrowaveXT, JD-800, or original V-synth?
I am looking for unique, high quality tones but more important for me is the overall workflow and control surface. I'm the kind of guy who likes to sit down and start turning knobs to be surprised and inspired. Hey...I own an XT and an original V-synth. I've never played a JD-800, but I agree it lo...

Then I guess everyone who's posted about the machinedrum without having used attack and utonic needs to get pissed at too, because they're twice as guilty as I am. Not to gang up on you, but check out the thread title... it is more about the machinedrum than the other two. Also, we are not comparin...

I made a post about two pieces of software I have used rather extensively, and made a comment that neither piece is capable of the less VA-oriented features of the machinedrum, which is fact. Nobody is picking on you for talking about what you're familiar with. You also said, in the same virtual br...

Straight up features comparison. I've used both the attack and the microtonic, and they just plain can't do the weird and non-VA type things the machinedrum can do. Most of the people here have never used microtonic or attack and are still offering advice on the comparison, so I don't think 2/3 is ...

both the waldorf attack and the microtonic software drum synths aren't as complex or quirky as the machinedrum... They're more straightforward VA in their approach. So when you used your machinedrum you found it to be complex and quirky? Straight up features comparison. I've used both the attack an...

Ut oh... another battle between you two? No battle, JS, as WDW thoughtfully posted the relevant snippet from the forum rules. I'm just poking at Mitch about something he's only been asked not to do about a zillion times. When someone demonstrates such incredibly resilient thick-headedness I feel co...

Nobody can say if I'll like it or no. But owners can help me to know if it's worth the money... That's why I think that tallowwaters post is really offensive to everybody.... and he is a moderator... well... what a good one... It didn't offend me in the least. In fact, it made me laugh out loud as ...

Nothing that fun, unfortunately. My boiler's been on the fritz since Monday. Having no heat or hot water gets old pretty fast when it's 30 degrees at night. hope that things getting warmer soon there. yeah..I think I might have finally found it. The tube for the vaccuum prover on the power venter w...

nope, I'm here too, but I'm doing a hundred other things at the same time. sounds like some heaving sequencing there, using a lot of polyphony  Nothing that fun, unfortunately. That alesis ION sounds pretty incredible, could i put it through a reverb pedal to get the reverb and not destroy the sound? and how does the Xiosynth 25 compare, i know its smaller. But on features and sound? You can run a synth through any kind of effects you want. The better quality the effect u...

Kaled.. The DJX is essentially a home-market keyboard with a little bit of extra creative flavor and control. You are trying to give it WAY too much credit. It is not a versatile, serious creative tool in the usual sense. I have a DJX1 and it's fun, but I bought it for my kids to play around on and ...
