Strange, I've had an SE30 working fine with mine. Look out for a cheap Powerbook 165c, I've had one of those working OK with mine too not long ago.

Nice one, not heard this for a long time, a great variation of what I recall.

Re: New choone

The beginning part is interesting and wierd at the same time, with headphones on it sounds like it's inside your head ! :confused2: Anyway, it develops into a quality sounding track, the beats are particularly good and fitting with the music, well recorded too. Thanks for sharing.

Re: A vampire seduction inspired movie instrumental.

You hit the nail on the head with Fright Night (not seen Vamp), fits those scenes very well...!

I may have missed you posting this elsewhere but it was most enjoyable, excellent. :)

Re: One Moment of synth...

Hello Steve, welcome to VSE. Was interested to hear these not having heard anything put forward specifically using a K2000 before. Medispheres is a nice ambient track, reminded me of Vangelis film stuff he's done. Will try out your other stuff when I get chance. That's a class photo BTW !

Re: A pad I made on the Poly-800

Not bad, sounds a bit like a Casio CZ synth. Could fit well with another pad under it giving some bottom end.

Re: Just me & my music...

There's far too much going on in your track. You can 'hear' something in it but it's just too muddy to make it out... Could be a very Jarre(ish) track with some filtering of surplus sounds.

Re: oberheim, maybe voyetra ??

As a first synth, the Andromeda is not a good choice IMO. Very complex and in depth, particularly for someone who's not used synths before. If you get one, be prepared to spend time a lot of time with it to get what you're looking for. Roland JX10 is nice sounding synth but the patch and tone struct...

Re: Wanted: old analog synths for $300 or under

The strings are very dry and nasal, but also very thick Um, sorry to slate something you own, but thick is a word I would never imagine used to describe any of the Micro Preset's sounds.... Anyway, from looking at his other posts, he's looking at Arp Solina's or similar. I suspect the Korg MP strin...

Re: Wanted: old analog synths for $300 or under

Looks c**p, sounds c**p, one good bass sound and not a lot else Says the man with two Jupes and a Prophet... Ah, shut up you.. :) 24 years ago all I had was a Korg Micro Preset and made the most of what I could from it. Unfortunately, being realistic, it's frustratingly limited. Synthe 1 & 2...

Blink-eck Micke, had always wondered about that sound, love it. Doesn't look like I've got the gear to replicate so sampling here I come... :)

 You're limited in your choices, but to choose an M500 is not a wise one. Looks c**p, sounds c**p, one good bass sound and not a lot else, don't waste your time and money on it.

BTW, this is going over to Buyers Guide.
