Re: EII Owners: Reliability issues - The Horrible Truth

Interesting stuff Dan, would be worthwhile posting on the EII forums too if you get chance. The Mac was the last thing to die on me....cost three times as much as what I paid for it to...

Re: Emu Emulator II, Drives, Floppies & S. Designer + Demos

I'm not sure if all their names actually match the original library names... I've noticed others with the same name and some are just numbers... :?

Good luck finding it, give me a shout if struggling. I still owe you one.

Cheers !The first sounds (keyboard split of two) is within the Burmer library, I forget the name but will check. The bass part is allocated to the bottom two octaves, the pad to the remainder.

Cheers Micke. I think it looks ace too (probably from gazing at them for so long back in the 80's) but the wife thinks it's butt ugly.. :? Love it or hate I think. :)

Re: rank your synths/controllers by key feel

Of current gear:

1) Virus Ti
2) Synthex
3) Jupiter 6
4) Prophet 5
5) Emulator II
6) Jupiter 4

The V-Synth key feel would have been second had I not changed it for the XT.

Re: JV-1080 alternatives?

If you do decide on a JV, the 1080 would be a far better buy than the 1010 IMO. The lack of a proper screen (and patch names) and very small text/switch selector on the 1010 is quite a pain. The 1080 is only another £50 or so usually S/H and has four expansion slots for you to fit the Orchestral 1 a...
