If I understand correctly, you simply want certain patches in your user bank at particular times yes? If so, just save all your existing user patches to a floppy disc, put this in your PC floppy drive and copy them to your hard drive as a backup. Each bank of sounds you need can be loaded into the s...

I was only messin.... interesting what you say. I've had loads of Rolands and the D50- is one of very few I never liked the sound of. Had the D550 and the D50 card for the V-synth, neither lasted very long for me. Still a 'classic' synth in its day though, this and the DX7 II reigning supreme in my ...

Only my opinion, but think you may be dissapointed.

You think the JV presets are good, well then get some expansions in it, Vintage Synth or Orchestral II for example and hear even better results.

I've had the Virus Classic briefly and just acquired a Ti, also owned the Novation A-Station, Supernova I, II & KS Rack previously. They sound different, the Virus will give you much thicker sounds and are particularly good at pads. The Novations can sound thinner at times, I often used them to add ...

Virus Ti button contacts

Just got one but with two dodgy button contacts - Program Value + & - not surprisingly.

Anyone else had these replaced yet? Just wondered how easy/big/cost of a job it was ?

Don't want to open this one up, hoping my local store can fix but won't find out for a few days.

Maybe one of the "little guy" DXes like the DX9 or DX21 Nah, it's the DX27. Four operators, no split/layer, brown and green, blurgh. Remember getting the hard sell to buy one in a music shop in 1987 (hey it's a DX !) After gathering dust for many a year, managed to sell mine last year for £70 which...

Ta very much. The EMU II is still stored away Jack pending the OB repair.... this bank holiday is supposed to be THE step forward to completion (!). Picked up a nice library of 75 EMU II 5.25 sample disks this week though. :) Hopefully getting used in the short rather than long term. Cheers for all ...

Can't say I've had a particularly 'bad' Roland synth but of all the ones I've owned and played, disliked the JX8P the most due to looks, user interface, membrane buttons and keyboard action. Velocity action was shite and after-touch was non-existent, a common problem I believe with these, although m...

Quite an 80's sounding track, reminds me of Havalox if you've heard of them.

Suggest you work on the drums, up the tempo (?) and get some variation. Also, maybe add a pad at least. It's got some potential to be quite a decent song overall.
