Re: mpc1000 pad upgrade sensitivity jj os
using the os1 without serial, good idea. All I found was: http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/chart.htm comparison chart shows that OS1 and OS2 have advanced modes of adjusting pad sensitivity? I think this means that you can have a threshold, and anything below the threshold doesn't register as a n...

Re: mpc1000 pad upgrade sensitivity jj os

Did you adjust the pad sensitivity in the misc config section to be high? I think that's where it's hidden

Re: New MFB-522 drum machine, now with more cowbell..
I found 500mA a bit too much for this. Which was the power supply that came with my 522. so i switched to a regulated 12v 300mA (230v 50Hz) power supply instead. the mA is a rating that defines the maximum amperage the power supply can supply safely, if the device plugged in draws that much. So a p...

Re: Ebay second chance offer on Korg MS-10
I think it needs a doctor, cause it's pretty beat up. I already have an MS-20 coming in a month, so a non-working MS-10 is taking a back seat. Anyways, the guy sold it, so I couldn't even get it if I really wanted to. Good for the guy to get such a quick offer. But here's the real kicker...Have you...

Re: New MFB-522 drum machine, now with more cowbell..
Hi all. I've just seen this little unit the MFB-522 and it looks very interesting and worth a mess around if you ask me. I've never heard of MFB before to be honest. I have a couple of questions about the unit. When it says 'fully analogue', does this mean that it uses analogue circuits for the dru...

Re: 1st electronic track in a long time
thanks a lot for the feedback! The vocals are a track from Yo Majesty called "Club Action", they had a remix competition like a year ago for the track so the acapella was widely available, but I just got around to doing a remix for it now as I love the track and the group. I should have mentioned th...

Re: The Official 'Secrets of the Studio' Thread!
This then does nothing to color the sound, it doesn't squeeze or compress the sound, it only cuts everything 0db or above. If need be you can also set the clip level lower. Uhh.. all that's doing is clipping the sound in the last plugin in the chain, hiding the clipping from the logic mixer. So the...

Re: midi workflow help please
Just to mention in this thread:
Do NOT get a Korg KMT-60 midi through box (it does 1 input to 6 output). It filters pitchbend and modwheel. How useless.

Re: production and myspace q's
Another thing to test (I don't know if this will work) would be to render your tracks directly to 96khz (I think thats what myspace uses) before uploading. Reason why this might be better than starting with 320kbps or something similiar is that when you send in a 320kbps your data flow is now origin...

Re: Do people get addicted to flipping synths?
I would be considered a flipper. I troll craigslist every day for cheap synths, buy them, use them, then sell them at market value. I don't think anyone would do anything differently. No one is going to resell the sh-1000 I bought for $50, for $50. Or the CS-20M I bought for $70, for $70. And hey in...

Re: Time for mini laptops yet?
Sadly most of these netbooks come loaded down with tons of crapware too, my aspire one (with no optical drive) came with DVD playing software that insisted on loading itself at boot time to put itself in the tray in case I hotplug a usb DVD drive and happen to want to play a movie on it!

Re: Is it worth buying a x0xb0x if I've got Virus TI/MC909/JP8K?
I do love it. Love the sound. As a side remark and just said it may increase in price possibly, thats not a reason I'm buying it. You can't have too much gear no? Maybe you can't, but I break down and stop being productive when I have more than 3 synths.. playing with music becomes an attempt to or...
