nice one! I wonder how it'll work with playing the Octapad with that + the MD :) playing two notes super fast, kind of like flam? it's a MIDI delay right? looks like it's also a loop sampler synced to midi.. so you could play a 4-bar guitar loop slaved to your drum machine then tweak some FX and pl...

I can't vouch for the rack version, but the keyboard version has rather cheap build quality. It doesn't feel like very sturdy, it's all plastic. It has the mountings to strap it on ala a keytar but if you did that I doubt the synth would last very long at all. If you're planning on placing it on you...

More kits: http://ladyada.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6365 Crazy! at first i felt cheated but realized that I'm still not at the end of the list (9/13/07) so still probably am better having self-sourced all the parts.. and it was the 'no more kits' announcement that pushed me to do it, so it all wor...

Thank you for the advice and idea JSRockit.

A few things have helped me...but I'm still no expert. 1) EQing all unnecessary frequencies. Cut everything not in use or that sounds ugly... basically, turn up the eq as high is it will go, use a very narrow Q level and sweep the frequencies until you hear ugly distortion...then cut it. If done ri...

I have one. I wouldn't want it to be my only synth, that's for certain.. but it can make appealling bass and leads. I only got it a few weeks ago and it took a full night of beer and experiments to figure out how everything works exactly (those organ-tabs threw me off originally). my dislikes are: -...

I have the unit. I have noticed this. I usually am able to fix it by increasing the gain on the mixer channel. my setup is usually mixer send 1 -> mini-kp IN (just L, I use it in mono) mini kp out -> free mixer channel. then channels I want to send to the KP just go through FX1 send.. and if I want ...

if you look up speakjet on youtube you will see a few DIY creations.

i'm designing my own "robot vocalist synth" based around a speakjet and an atmega168. It will accept MIDI and it will "sing" :D.
