Re: Any memorymoog owners?
Absolutely true, but this is actually the way it's going with all vintage analog gear. And btw: I don't get a CS-80 "because" it is overhyped; it has been my ultimate dream synth since more than a decade... But at that time I didn't have the (much cheaper) funds to buy one, you see... have you ever...

Re: Synth Repairs
the solina sounds like a simple fix (key contact cleaning). the 106 sounds like it could be serious. good luck.

Re: Any memorymoog owners?
i love the (working) memorymoog. a lot of memorymoog problems seem to be due to bad connections and trimpots. as for the cs80 prices, i suspect the recent jump in market value was due to overhype, shill bidding and the resulting chatter. every time someone sells a synth for X dollars, where X is a w...

Re: ARP 2500 questions- update: IT WORKS! Video inside...
if the powers not staying on on its own, you dont want to tape the switch down. replace the switch instead. if it works, great. if not, there may be something more serious going on. i wouldnt take any chances with the power supply section...

Re: My synth has been in repairs for over 3 Months!
i think the problem here may be that youre dealing with an ob12. when you did the OS update, was it interupted? i think that can cause serious problems with the update. in general, i would say 3 months is not a long time to wait for a vintage synth repair (no, im not really calling an ob12 vintage)....

Re: Korg Poly 6 Symptoms
we just started working on a polysix with random modulation on the filter section, kinda like sample and hold. which would be a nice additional feature....if you could turn it off!
battery leakage can cause a number of different symptoms.

bubblewrap isnt exactly cheap. but yes, its usually cheaper than fixing the damage from not using (enough of) it.

Re: eBay advice - Have a look here
actually, ebay hasnt been our primary storefront for a long time - we sell most of our gear directly through our website after having been disappointed (to put it mildly) by ebay policies and management. now we only use ebay as a last resort. otherwise its direct sales, often to repeat customers, ma...

Re: between these three which would you rather have and why?
this is an entire subjective thing. you really should try each of them or at least hear good quality sound files of each before making a decision. they each have a different sound to them. that said, i dont recall the yamaha specs but if its got a multimode filter that often gives you a lot more opt...
