(not generally brown nosing mr bryce here) i think the presets in the evolver are essential. if there werent those mad examples of all the insanity that can be achieved, i would just be sitting around modulating cutoff with the lfo. even though i cant use most of the evolver patches in my musical se...

microkorg "tape choir" i quite enjoy. planty of D50 (never played one) preset that seem gorgeous even if they are just stock by now. kawai k4's vibes preset. gorgeous kawai k5000 - tons of nice presets, i thought... evolver - a few of those analog patches are useful, but most of them are just to sho...

i seldom do beats on my sampler. i use it to hold all my synth sounds in one place, make drones, add vocals, and other insanity. i love those roland sampler filters and time stretches. so damned painful and sharp. i can agree with the keys. i really cant get on with rack gear at all, though i find d...

? i guess there could be any number of ways around this. personally, i would just de trigger that sample... are you running stereo out? just run open hh through left, and closed through right and cut/fade out the channel you want gone at the mix. can you do a keyboard split and make one side monopho...

So is it possible to bust speakers on an guitar amp when using keyboards on it? i could bust the speakers on damn near any amp if you loaned it to me for one night. but yeah, its possible if you push the bass too hard. i have blown out speakers on low watt bass amps with drum machines before.

i have an esi4000 that has a brown burn streak on the board. it works fine in every other regard, but it worries me. i would be willing to let it go for very cheap just to get the damned thing out of the studio. i was multi window browsing this morning and thought this was in the gear wanted forum....

it will beef it up a little, but if you really want to add some warmth and color, a channel strip with a nice preamp and compressor (and possibly an eq) might be the way to go. this is all me speaking personally, of course, and i know little about sound production in comparison to some people here. ...

http://www.scsiforsamplers.com/storage.asp Holy c**p. Nice find, Tallow. Should also add that you're paying for assured compatibility; at least one person I know of has spent hundreds trying to get the exact SCSI drive their sampler actually supports. I think this week's pay just got spent... oh, t...

well, the dynacomp isnt so much a fun effect as a useful one. for fun compression i would check out the alesis smash up what do you mean? if it makes a nice and fat compression then its a fun box to play with... well if you find it fun. what i mean though is the dynacomp merely compresses (as far a...

how do you convert tempo to bpm? we have a formula for how songs should be tempo of 160-180 at a 5/4 rhythm is usually a 4-5 minute song 100-130 is usually 4/4 and tends to be 7-10 minutes 65-100 can be 7/8 or 4/4 and must go past 10 minutes but we play pummeling stoner creepy trance bliss for drug ...
