Re: Smoking and gear.
The part about this that's so shocking is that companies are allowed to sell something so addictive . I mean something inside the product is damn ADDICTIVE-- and it's legal . I don't think anyone really cares that it's addictive, there are plenty of addictive things out there which are legal, ie vi...

Re: Smoking and gear.
I'll go one further on Augment. In my youth, nearly everyone smoked. There were ashtrays everywhere... and I mean everywhere. At the bank... in elevators... in bathrooms... in planes... in cars... at the theater... at all restaurants. Everyone just smoked. It was more likely for you to be a smoker ...

The incorrect usage of "your" tells you everything you need to know.

Re: Smoking and gear.
I will admit that when I see people I respect smoking it does slightly lower their status mentally, to me smoking doesn't really make sense. I'm not going to say it's inherently immoral or something like that, and legally you have the right to do whatever you want. However I don't see the point, to...

Re: Smoking and gear.
Nothing is particularly 'good' for electronics. Heat, moisture, tar, excessive dryness, general oxidization, particulate matter, etc., but damned if yellow keys and that horrendous smell don't turn me off. Don't get me wrong, I hate the smell, and certainly hate the idea of my circuits being pollut...

Good job on killing 5 or 6 important threads by keeping this pile of s**t alive, folks.

Oh, just hit me - Roland DJ 70. Not tiny, but about as small as you are going to get keyboard sampler wise.

Re: Smallest chromatic samplers?
Some interesting replies. Thanks. I'm looking at doing more collaborating (maybe eventually gigs) in the future, so I was trying to think of something that's easier to lug out of the house than the A-3000. I'm kind of curious to try out the MicroSampler (sample from my A-3000 to it, perhaps?), desp...

Ups to SirRuff for being cool with a very minor problem.
I probably need to leave feedback for a hundred other people as well too.

Re: Smallest chromatic samplers?
Only thing I can think of is the V Synth XT, which kind of doesn't fit in with your criteria.
The ESX and Microsampler can sample chromatically, as I am sure you well aware, but it isn't their forte.

Re: Alesis SR 18...is it worth it for Electro?
Then, to be honest, you should wait. Get something serious you can grow with and use (forever?) whenever you have the drum machine urge. It might be something that comes and goes. The kind of thing you can put away for a period (not sell) and miss it and then put it back into play. I mean, the DSI ...
