Caught me there. Still though, another aux out would be a lot more helpful than an input.

Re: The synthesisers used on Kanye Wests new album

Don't you think that the use of autotune on Lost In The World (newer album now) is much more creative than the criticised use he had made of it on 808s & Heartbreak? I've been using it more creatively for 3 years now, all without spawning a legion of ignorant fanboys wearing sweater vests and bow t...

Re: Alesis SR 18...is it worth it for Electro?

There is always ghosting, even with sounds hard panned left and right. There are only 3 outputs, which is near damn unacceptable if you are using the onboard bass sounds, which are slim pickings anyways. Saving sets can be fiddly, and it's way too easy to save a set over another or not save a set at...

Re: Alesis SR 18...is it worth it for Electro?

I've been using the SR-18 since it was released, and while I love it, an upgraded SR16 it isn't. While the SR16 was an extremely well thought out box with now "dated" sounds, the SR18 is a box with great "modern" sounds and some poor implementation going on. But I'll third Scott and Stab - the XR-20...

Re: My Dream Synth From Roland

With all this talk of touch screens, I begin to think that apple should get involved. Yeah, that would only jack up the price by about a 400% margin for no good reason. Apple didn't invent touch screens, perfect them, or innovate them, they merely managed to sell them to millions of people. + Apple...

Re: Basic Drum Machine?

Pointless fact:

Robert Quine and Fred Maher played on Painted Desert which featured Ikue Mori (of DNA fame) playing an SR16 live.

Re: Eventide Space Reverb & Beyond & ZVex Tremorama

As far as cases go, it's pretty easy to find a plastic suitcase or some such case at the thrift store and just a piece of one side's hinges off with a dremel or something to allow removal of the lid. Anyhow, glad to hear you are digging the pedals. I am apparently still f**k waiting at Sweetwater fo...

I thought Russian synths didn't have a typical 1/4" out but needed a little DIN converter.

Re: Korg and Roland -- old again

By the same analogy, musicians should be replaying their old songs over and over until they get them 100% correct in your eyes as opposed to composing new ones.

That sounds about right.

Re: Korg and Roland -- old again

Innovation is overrated. What synth manufacturers should be doing is perfecting what they have already done before instead of wasting time on silly touchscreens, LCDs, and lights which don't really improve musicianship. All these so called innovations do is give you more buttons to press and menus ...
