I want a flange that sounds like the one in the Korg Trident mkII. http://www.babic.com/SYN/TRIDENT/Tri1_FlangeStrgs_PolySyn.mp3 Just my opinion, but I think the EH flangers and reverbs are terrible. I also tried a EH stereo clone theory, and its input had terrible distortion for line levels, and t...

CS-80 indeed can be multitimbral. u just need to get 3 or 4 of them .. and a bigger house. :D but seriously, out of newer currently produced analogs, none supports poly AT, cept ive only heard rumours/plans for Omega/Code, that an update will implement polyaftertouch. i dont know of any new keyboard...

Contrary to what is commonly held: 1. Multiple oscillators do not generate fatness 2. Detuning does not generate fatness 3. Most synthesizers are not fat if the term is held to its original meaning and what it used to designate 4. Fatness exists in oscillator as much as it does in filter yes, yes, ...

I have that Spectrum pad. It's nice, isn't it? Not very warm at all but oh so smooth and enchanting. thanks man yeah its doing the solo line (from Roland Users Mag in the 80s ;) ), fantastic for such eeire lines. pad below it is a custom sound i doubled in layer mode (panned L-R). i feel it shows t...

i disagree, none the juno 106 or 60 have CEM oscillator and VCA like 101 does. and its heard in difference of character. imo only two Rolands that might fit the bill of a poly 101 would be jupiter6 and MKS80 rev4. they dont have the osc plus subosc setup, but it can be simulated by putting the synce...

nice, but white is just not my cup of tea for analog synth restoration. cant help feeling im at a funeral, or at las vegas wedding ceremony. tho it works on Virus Polar. for vintage, i prefer redone original panels. and then perhaps some exotic wood. like guys at synthwood did on a prophet5. it look...

Yeah it leaves me wanting something dead simple like a Juno around... hey Nick, fancy meeting u here. how's it going? :D For example, I much prefer the SSM sound over the Juno/Jupiter sound i too really love SSM, but find the P6 perhaps most unrepresentative of how good SSM can really sound. to me,...

And yes, the CS-80 sound is indeed very obvious on "A Curious Feeling". I guess it's the first album where Tony used one.   sht, yeah it makes sense now. i got that record early on, one of my first ones.. and thats why it sounded so different synth-wise from everything else genes...

I really tried hard to like Polysix on several ocassions, but found it smaller soundin than some other from the era like trident etc. anyway, if one digs its basic character, it does have a huge sweet spot, but when the board is as limited its not hard to acomplish this. for example, listing 303 as ...

KORG Poly800 in 1984. i already had a hammondX5 but that doesnt count as synth. hated the paraphonic filter. but really learned basics of programming on this one, it was constant source of joy to make new sounds. nothing like the first one.. ;) i remember dreaming about upgrading to Matrix6, and fan...
