If all the appeal of the DrumStation and DrumStation 2 is in the knobs, I wouldn't see the point, either. Only change I'd want to what's already out there (and due to come) is to give the MachineDrum dedicated controllers for each sound in place of the assignable ones.

To jonkull, if the motorcycle will more easily help you get to and from your ob (weather permitting), you'll be able to makemore money to replace your Kurzweil - or buy a Micron.

Try telling the wife something like, "It's just another synth, not a mistress."

I don't know what you paid for the Blofeld, but I do know the Micron is one of those great, economical synths that can almost be had over and over again (as ong as it's on the market). If you want to buy "another Toyota" to complament the "Ferrari's," it's all up to you.

Can the Wave's morphing function (or any Clavia's morphing function) be controlled from a synth/keyboard with a vector joystick (Prophet VS, SY77, TG33, Wavestation, Kawai K1, etc)? The plethera of sound-creating/editing possibilities does seem that extensive. Can it be done?

If you were willing to go with digital modeling and secondhand, there are the AN1x and CS1x or the like. [Yamaha haven't really produced that many models full of realtime controllers, lately.] Otherwise, what's the matter with considering DSI, Moog, Alesis, Novation, Korg and Roland to get what you ...

How often do people pop up wanting to sell all three at once? I'm glad whoever pursued these items caught this person in the act.

I'd pick the OB-8. The reason being, I'm more interested in tuning stability than gritty sound. For that, I pick one with Curtis chips. I'll still have my fair share of knobs and sliders. As for wanting easy access to the "Oberheim sound," I'd take a Matrix 1000. Can it be edited from the Voyager fr...

Could someone help my half-sunken eyes identify the synth in this video?

The anvil case carrying my JX-10 is probably more valuble than the synth itself. I would've been happy if it was the original case.

I haven't gotten a case for the Mm Voyager, but I want it to be bullet-proof.

So because it's heavy and some have tuning issues it's the worst Yamaha synth? So you would rather have a DX-100 than a CS-80? (and none of this I'd take the CS-80 to sell it to buy 1200 DX-100's....) I wouldn't want the 100. After the 21, I know that I like the DX sound. But not without the touch ...

Okay, here's my opinion. The worst Yamaha in my book is the all-powerful CS-80. And, why? What's the point of that unmistakable sound and controllability if the rewarding features are (literally) outweighed by all else? I mean, I won't knock the ability to play the equivalent of 8 Minimoogs at once,...

So far, I've spent the least amount of cash on my Korg 05rw module. It's previous owner gave it a $150-dollar value. I gave half of it to him in cash and covered the rest in trade (my first guitar amp).
