Re: Analog doesn't sound Analogue

Just a warning for all in advance - don't let this turn into another Analogue vs Digital debate. It's been beaten to death.

Re: love affair all over again (MINIMOOG)

JayEm - leave the accusations of spam to the mods, please. Most folk have links to their bands in their signature, and Shapeling didn't actually ask anyone to 'check his music out', just Minimoog talk. Shapeling - although JayEm's 'welcome' wasn't exactly that, please refrain from calling people nam...

Re: Nord Lead 3 opinions ?

I had a Nord Lead 3 despite its fantastic interface and aftertouch, I just felt that there was something 'missing' from its sound and was ultimately disappointed. I've always put it down to it just not being what I was looking for at the time - a more convincing analogue sound and should have gone f...

That is exactly what I thought when I listened to the song - 'Twilight', sprung to mind! Methinks we listen to too* much Mr. Lynne, Marc.

Re: Access Virus TI or Prophet '08

Knock it off, Jambo - your original post was pedantic at best. None of this is helping the original poster.

Leave Huppo alone - I've noticed you seem to pick arguments with his postings more than other members! You've been warned about this in the past.

Re: Why do presets universally suck?

I'm pretty much with Synthacon and a few others on the subject of preset usage - if I like it and it suits more than something I've created myself then I'll use it. It's what makes me happy, that counts, and it should be that way for everyone, rather than worrying about whether others will see them ...

Re: Why do presets universally suck?

A couple of thoughts, none of them necessarily true: - as others have said, time could be a constraint. The programmers might not have been given enough time to familiarise with the instrument's fullest potential. Naturally, this would only apply to more complex instruments. - the programmers could ...

FX23 - this thread belongs in Samplers, not General Synths.

I deleted your previous thread due to your attitude - "I'm not bothered as long as someone answers my question" when someone told you it was posted in the wrong place, so consider this a warning.

Moog Opus 3? (the single wheel gave it away, and the shape of the wooden case)

EDIT: beaten to the punch!

Re: Has anyone ever seen or heard of the Novation KS series?

I've owned a K-Station and a KS5 and would recommend the KS5 for 70s/80s synth sounds. A popular belief is that the KS-series are only good for a certain type of music (Trance, I think it was), but it's untrue. The KS is an extremely versatile synth, capable of a broad spectrum of sounds, thanks to ...

Likewise, Marc - my reply was a tad harsh, given I'd misread the context of it.
