I love mine - the multi-mode filter really adds to its versatility. I use mine for all manner of things - basses, leads, pads, effects, emulations of cheap 70s electronic pianos... The interface is great - everything is laid out neatly in front of you. It's easy to set up splits on the keyboard, so ...

Starting to drift away from the Ion, here chaps, but in the spirit of things... Neon - here's a tune I quickly knocked up on the LP Stage to test recreations of my Minimoog patches. I didn't use the 'overdrive' on any of the patches.

Welcome to VSE! A Juno 106 sounds like a nice re-entry to synths and neatly bringing you full circle - it's the only one of the Junos that I haven't played. There's a cracking thread in here which might interest you, in which some of the older members shared their memories of playing 20 or so years ...

sure, just lock it, but can you add "Posted in wrong forum" or something to clarify for new users or users who just want to read about synths?? As we've said - we simply don't have the time to comment on them - especially when the forum times out as often as it does (if you think it's annoying when...

Mok - as others have said, despite there being several VSE mods, the amount of threads posted in the wrong part of the forum was really getting out of hand and so we came up with a simple, easy-to-understand rule that applies to everyone , and is enforced without prejudice. It is our hope that with ...

Re: Rhodes vs. Digital piano

Um...I can understand why this got moved to buyers guide. But I'm not buying a rhodes, i was merely comparing the sound of the two instruments. Yeahhhh..... Well, reading your initial post from last year - it has 'Buyer's Guide' written all over it. Don't forget, it also covers comparison or 'vs' t...

Roboctopus - as you've apologised, the ban is rescinded, but please keep any future comments like that in check.

This applies to everyone else - things can quickly get out of hand, otherwise.

I don't approve of the catty comments towards Eisbich or the direction in which this thread is heading and suggest that it ends now, please. The subject of people collecting instruments has been done to death and turns nasty every time . Enough! Some people just spastically collect things. But over ...

Late to the party, but looking at the oscillators, I was going to guess the Novation KS series until I saw the 'Gator' section!

That's a really neat panel layout there - good work!

If it's all working, jump on it for that price - as Nath says, if you don't like it, you could easily sell it for more and even double your money.

The prices of P5s has been rising steadily in the UK of late - to put things in perspective, a 3.3 sold on eBay recently for £1850.

It'd be a nice thing for Crumar to spring back into action. I loved the Performer and several of their other instruments weren't without charm.

Re: Roland MKS-80

Damn! I can't believe this synth sells for so much money!!! The samples here on VSE sound worse than me taking a c**p on top of an AMC Gremlin. So you've spent quality time with one then? I haven't, and until I have, I don't think I'm qualified to say whether it's worth the money. It's unwise to ju...
