One semi-negative response. I bought a P-600 that had been serviced very recently by Wine Country. When it arrived and I first turned it on it seemed to be experiencing the voice problem. I was a bit freaked out cause I thought I had possibly been sold a defective synth so I immediately called Wine ...

Vocal processors - now with demos (thanks killedaway)

What are some good vocal processors for weird vocals FX? Think Brian Eno's latest, The Knife, etc. Particularly looking for affordable items.

I've been recently considering just a cassette deck for some tape degredation. I'd love a reel2reel but just can't seem to find a good deal on one. I think ebay items are overpriced for my purpose.

For $1000 playing darkwave I'd get get something along the lines of an akai AX, Roland Juno or SCI Prophet 600 and compliment it with a VA like an MS2000 to cover lots of ground.

Youtube can be a useful place to see/hear demo's of the synths you might be interested in.

it's what I find myself comparing all other synths to because it has 'the sound' for me
Me too. I wish there were more synths like the LP. Great vintage sounds with all the modern conveniences, smart interface, nice build quality.

Cool, found out a couple weeks ago I'm going to have 2 random patch generators. Awesome! My boys are a lot of fun. They have a very unique perspective on things. These will be my first. I'm very curious as to what their personalities will be and what they will look like. I was never very sure about...

I'm interested in one of those kits for myself! I've been wanting to get an iron and start a project that I can learn on. My kids have a Radio Shack PCM keyboard that was given to me. Mini-keys, MIDI out, speakers, drum sounds, etc. But they prefer to play with Daddy's keyboards because those are t...

Yamaha CS-30L Quirky-cool, near-modular, submarine-control-panel of a synth that has a nasal, telephone like tonal quality. Alesis Micron Powerful synth excedes at smooth ambiant tones - buy the Ion for much improved control. Korg Poly-800 OK, cheap analog with a rough-dirty character - can do a di...

Ahem................. .........I'm sorry, but the grey plastic one really makes me sick. I don't know... There's something I can't put my finger on that I really don't like about the wood on the little phatty. It's probably the stain/color. I like wood on some synths but I don't think that wood aut...

As far as looks go I like all the vintage lab-coat synths. White on black, black on white. Modular, semi modular. Most vintage stuff that isn't overly colorful, I like. Wood is nice on vintage. From a purely asthetic perspective I'm not crazy about stuff like Jupiters, Yamaha's with the colorful org...
