Evolvers come up on ebay all the time. You'll just have to wait or buy a new one.

VOX - not really a synth

This on Matrixsynth from NAMM... http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p20/mps3000/slide_vox1.jpg It looks like a painted up Korg CX3, but there are some different knobs and buttons next to the LCD. Could be a Nord C1 type deal? Korg says they were not showing it at NAMM and there is no new organ produ...

I want to love it so baad but I don't :(
Ditch it. If I've learned anything from this forum it is that we all have very different tastes and workflows and that just because many other people on the forum love a synth doesn't mean you will too.

I got 2 squire tele's from MF with warped necks. I sent the first back in trade for the second and gave up after the second and got my money back. I blamed it on squire but I've heard similar things about damaged or second-rate gear coming from MF so it makes me wonder...

Do what works for you. I would have a hard time not buying something different myself, particularly for $1000 (hello MEK) but I'm not you.[/u]

Re: Quick questions about Little Phatty

I had a couple of questions about the LP, so i would appreciate some feedback should anyone know. The LP is listed to have 2 "ultra stable analog oscialltors"...now the terminology used there was interesting to me, so i was wondering if anyone knows what that means. Does that mean it has DCO's? Or ...

Just got this in my inbox via AH: "Future Music February UK edition has details of three interesting Moog items:- a Little Phatty II with arpeggiator and USB; a retro Voyager with no MIDI, presets, or touchscreen but 'enhanced modulation', different knob layout, and a lower price; and the MP-201 pe...

yeah, I saw this mentioned over at the MPC forums, it's a got idea.. one thing that I can point out too: try to get one of those "top-loaders" from the late 70's/ early 80's, they're probably "warmer" than the newer ones with improved audio recording. http://www.v2000.co.uk/v2020_vcr_image.jpg also...

Re: steelphon s900

I came across this youtube demo and was blown away by this synth. I know nothing about it whatsoever. Can anyone give me any pointers as to it's features, history and.... ahem .... cost and availability? I will pay through the nose to get my hands on this!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Kke04Rusn...

There are a lot of free software synths you can try out and midi controllers can be had cheap. I'd go this route first and get a better idea of what you want to spend your money on.

Sounds interesting I might have to try it. I'm curious as well how much it sounds like a reel to reel and/or how much it adds to the sound. I found this link:

that the Ion sounds thin, plastic-y, not-at-all-like-an-analog, less-analog-than-other-VAs, etc... these have all been leveled a MILLION times before. we get it -- you don't like the thing. end the crusade already. besides, mine sounds fantastic. i've found that anyone who spent any time really pro...
