Yeah I thought it was a strange solution to the problem. I doubt it’s a battery issue because he says all the patches are stored on there. He was being really wishy-washy about the price but at one point seemed like he would take $150. Earlier he was trying to tell me it was worth $300, because its ...

Sequential Six Track question

So there's a guy selling a Six Track locally and he says it has an issue with the sounds being out of tune and he thinks it needs software booted to be fixed. Anyone have any info on this? I haven't had a chance to mess with the thing myself but does anyone want to guess what the problem is. It soun...

FL Studio - MIDI

Can FL studio send patches and libraries to a synth via midi? I've done this with "midiox" in the past but I am wondering if there is a way to do it with FL studio and I'm just too dumb to figure it out.

I think a juno would fit the bill as well for that genre.

My father in law listens to a lot of funk and r&b particularly 70's - early 80's I hear a lot of Moog in those 70's tracks. Although prince sounds a lot different than 70's funk and R&B so if your going for prince I think you already have your answer.

I think this is true. I remember changing parameters via software and you had to retrigger.

Does anyone have some patches I can try out on mine to get a feel for what it can do? I bought it cos it was the same price as a 61 note controller but felt nicer-but I was put off by the preset sounds.... You can find literally thousands of ESQ-1/SQ-80 patches on the net. I'll warn you though that...

The only things I've found at thrift shops are SK-1's and other crappy casio and yamaha keyboards. I'm not diehard though, I just go in once in a while.

If you believe the apple hype goes much further than the looks your fooling yourself IMO. Not that the Monome has anything to do with Apple... but you cannot say that the only reason people buy an Apple computer is because of looks...that is silly. I know I buy Macs because I think OS X is the supe...

It is partially looks and partially function. Another advantage to these devices is that when performing it doesn't look like you are checking your e-mail :D I was going to bring this up as well. It does look cool. While I don't feel I have the discretionary money to spend on my music gear for just...

Re: list all grooveboxes that you know

By groovebox I mean a price of hardware that contains a sequencer, a drum part (pcm/sampler/synth), a synth(also pcm/sampler/synth) part, and is capable of playing live. I know plenty of them, and was curious if there are any "special" that I am missing, and that could suit me. Here are those that ...

I must be missing something. For $450 - $1400, it must do something more than a light show or atonal sound controller. Z It's an open source type of thing. Anybody can design different programs and uses for it. You could use it somewhat like a x/y controller for adjusting parameters. You could use ...
