I'll give this question a try in this thread I suppose. When you play samples on the MPC (especially instrument samples) does the audio over lap when you hit the pads? So say if you have a chopped sample and the hits run for a few seconds each, will the sustain start to run everything together, or ...

I read somewhere, in an interview, that he uses a monomachine among other things.. elektron gear...so expensive, if thats what he uses on most his stuff i want one though, hes influenced me quite a bit yeah it's expensive... you should check out the korg kpr-77, it's pretty rare, but it's analog.. put those individual outs -> eq's + filters = nicey nicey. you can get some pretty booming bass drums out of it by opening it up and tuning the BD decay put/slider more check it out, if you want analog *edit, ^this was written...

Oh man :( I just wrote a huge reply and then I get the: "Could not connect to database" blah blah blah error :cry: anyways, it was about recording everything (seperate tracks) into a computer (so you can rearrange it later if you need) and then out of the computer -> effects, maybe some compressors+...

also, turn the filter down a lot, add an LFO on the filter cutoff (slow, not deep), with a long "pre-delay", so the sound is filtered first, then slowly starts to "LFO-filter-open" itself.. make sense? :P and yes, reverb will help a ton.. something like thosee korg/roland ambient reverbs/delays they...
